There's still some sections of the media running the 'they're playing with freedom now that the shackles are off' narrative.

That may have applied to the Teague ascendancy but I think us more astute watchers are picking up that we actually look pretty damn structured & focused under Fraser. We're very sound defensively & we're playing with intensity in last quarters of all his games.

Fraser himself has an intensity about him too on the training track, judging by the bake I saw him give a senior player on the outer wing at open training last week.

If it continues to go well I'd be more than happy if he applied, among others.

He gave a senior player a spray ? Didn't think he had it in him . Good , I feel better already .

I posted a couple weeks back what players said of Fraser at the Sponsors night. He did give the players a spray in the preseason when he was at the club for 5 minutes. He was a stickler about fundamentals they were instructed to apply. Fundamentals continue to get on his nerves when not adopted at training. He isnt shy to show his annoyance, and players called it a "spray".

Depends on what a spray looks like. There's a Kingsley spray with intimidating glaring eyes, swearing and belittling, and a Parkin spray with his veins popping out of his neck and eyes bleeding. Somehow I dont see Fraser giving one of those types of sprays. He seems more measured ... but that is only my perception.

I like how he stays in the coaches box.
Voss constantly fretting on the boundary line just gave me the shits.

He always looks so upset and depressed. Very monotone sort of dude.

The media is even now starting to notice and tell him to liven up.

I know Richmond people who are already starting to hate him

Yes, I've noticed this too. The presser after the Giants was like Voss using Fraser's body as a medium to communicate with us.

Thankfully he hasn't yet started talking about "nourishment" and "our values".

re: "nourishment"

read somewhere Fras is even strong on the fundamentals of diet and so on, hopefully sleep hygiene too during the WC!

Who thinks the Giants were off because they all got up at 4AM to watch the USA v Aust game? It was suggested by one of the ABC commentators during the game. Mind you they kept singing the Giant's praises until about ten minutes into the fourth quarter.

I think we need to check if Voss is hiding under the desk.

Cerra and Acres are wingmen who provide a defensive mindset.
Both strong bodied running machines, who can mark.

Our midfield heaps on midfield pressure forcing rushed kicks/ bombs by opposition.
Cerra has taken most intercept marks since moving to wing.
Acres has the knack and running power to be last line defender.

Midfield running back providing extras and support in defense and links.
Midfield run the ball by handball and take on the defensive lines with high risk play.
Cripps Hewett Smith Walsh all provide a different skill set.

Midfield look quick because they are all running forward with ball.
Walsh has speed to burn when he gets into top gear.
Forward handball and linking with HHF Hayward and Cottrell is unstoppable.

We are committed to defensive habits
We are forcing the turnover
We are running hard in numbers
We are honouring the call and hitting targets by handball and foot.
We don’t bomb it forward anymore.

Imagine if Gov kicked his first two gettable shots (too close to mark)
Imagine if Kemp kicked 4-2 instead of 1-6
Imagine if McKay was paid frees, held onto a couple and kicked straight.
Imagine if Newman, Byrne Ainsworth and Ison kicked those easy shots at goal

That’s the next step.

Fix that and we would have won all our games except the games vs Swans Freo and Saints.

We would have 11 wins sitting in Top 4
Some of us felt we weren’t that far off, just needed a tweak, and a 4 quarter effort: Belief.

So I reckon we will learn more about Josh in our losses than in our wins.

Trouble is we won't lose a game so we may never know.

Yeah but, "we are too slow".

In truth though, pundits/commentators have already pencilled him for 7-zip… so there's dangers ahead I suspect.

What ever happens between now and the announcement of our new permanent Head Coach - if Fraser isn't the guy I hope he isn't lost to the club and is still part of our Coaching Department.

This is my issue, I feel these interim's rarely stay on at the club they coached at. I hope he does, I dont want him lost to us

I think he has to go through the process whether he wants to or not.

Above all else, the process needs validity. It’s not a bad thing that we are winning, but in doing so, he has become the asterisk for either outcome.

Just watched Josh's press conference . Could not have been more impressed . They hammered him hard with the Coach question and he handled it superbly . Josh in a short space of time has become masterful in handling the journo's . He is respectful and polite to them and answer 's all the questions . No more so than the inevitable Coach question . He is consistent . Constantly pads them away every time .
Also watched Cazz's mate Minnie McQualters presser . Its easy to see why he is so highly regarded in AFL circles . Top little bloke who calls it as it is . Made no excuses and gave credit where credit is due . I wish him well .
