Cotrell for Young the only change
Selections have been interesting to say the least.
Obviously concerned about GWS running power

he was far from inspiring in the last magoos game, but wasnt alone
i would have preferred williams
As per normal this won't go down with some not wanting to criticise the club - but tough.
This is just another example why we need a clean sweep in the complete coaching group and someone to take hold of this group.
Next week's the in's will be Saad and Fogarty.....Acres, Cottrell and others should not be seen unless deep injuries in certain positions.
Lord pushed aside for Hewett is another.
Seems like we aren't moving forward as per we keep getting told.

OK, I’ll respond. Half time Cats vs Freo. Cracker of a game.
We were 1-8.
We moved the coach you wanted moved on.
You have told us how happy you are your point was proven on scoreboard. We’ve win 4 in a row.
You’ve been appreciative of the Coaching group and the MC decisions.
One change, a 25yo for a 23yo and all of the sudden the world has been flipped upside down.
There’s 10 weeks left in the H&A. Plenty of time for those in the VFL to be seen again or for the first time at AFL level. GW said so. If Riley plays well this week, I can see us having a look at him next 2 games vs WCE and/ or Tigers (No Nankervis)
Like Sydney Blue said during the week, if we were playing for a win, based on form, it’s easy to see why Williams and Cottrell or Hollands would be selected ahead of Young and Ison. If it’s development, he’d have no change. I agree.
The minute our club started gifting games from 2016 onwards we failed to develop properly. I get giving them a taste, but kids tire. Ison looked tired last game. The bye came at a good time for him. I don’t expect Ison to play all 10 games left.
Acres has a contact for 2026 and 2027. He hasn’t shown anything but effort and form. Questioning his existence in the team is pure folly. He has been the best for a more than a month in the VFL and one of the best in our win in the AFL.
Cottrell I haven’t been a fan of last 6 weeks, with the exception of last week’s 2 nd half. someone must have read him the riot act at lalf time because what he produced in the 2nd half was elite, outstanding and jaw dropping. Best Ive seen from him since early 2024. I didn’t think he proved he was back, because I wanted to see 4 quarters. But his performance on the track last Saturday, Wednesday and last night proved the old Cottrell is back.
Hewett has a contract for 2026 and 2027. No way is Lord offering the team more than Hewett. Like last year Hewett went to the VFL, and proved it was a big mistake and was back in the best 18. Hewett is miles ahead of Lord right now let alone this year imo. MC justified imo.
