Well done Blues, after failing to take your opportunities in the first three quarters.

I like Jack Ison. Hope the kids who had 30 on their jumpers hadn't ripped it off!

Needed that. Whole club and everyone who bleeds blue needed a win.

Frustrating at times. But a distinct plan and different modes at different times. Great to see.

Would have won by 7 goals if we got umpired like them. Pitto must have the world record of ruck frees against. @#$%&! infuriating.

Carroll and Cowan both very good tonight and Wilson looked like he belongs at AFL level.
Ison certainly has a very bright future.
When you add Jagga, Dean, HOF and Cody we have a pretty decent crop of young players coming through.

Scrappy first half but played out 4 quarters... no embarrassing choke
Ison - good debut... brings great energy
Florent - best game for this club
Cripps - yoooj in the final term
Carroll - that left foot

And for the Kennedy fans (I like the bloke)... 11 touches

Norton kicked two goals from “blocking” frees which Fox didn’t even manage to find a reply of the “blocking” in either case. not saying they weren’t there but blocking goes on all game long and picking out two 10 m out straight in front… just saying. also those two behinds to Ison and forget who, maybe Carroll in Q4 for touched on the line had completely inconclusive replay footage at best. they didn’t even find the right angles for them.

well i haven’t watched more than a handful of live games in the last decade but decided to get down to the pub for the final quarter. we doubled our score in our proverbial “weak suit” quater, was amazing to see the spirit flowing through the playing group. even occasional skill errors resulting in turnovers didn’t hamper spirits, we just kept coming and coming at the Dogs and they wilted.

Mathew Kennedy played a useful game for us by being down on his usual output this season by a considerable margin. Same for the Bont. Cripps and Walsh seemed to have Bontempelli beat on the inside and outside between them. not sure who was running with Bont as i only watched the last quarter and he got like one touch or something.

Just home from the game.
What a relief and such a good feeling finally winning. Loved how we finished the game with a great last quarter.
Fantastic game from Florent, Carroll, Cowan good and loved Ollie Hollands tonight.
Lets enjoy the week and see what the rest of the season brings.
Umpiring terrible.

Looked pretty much the same as most of last year, except cauliflower were trying & the bench management was actually doing something.

Work rate in line with every other game.

Execution so much better. Loved his game. Thought he and Florent were our best 4qtr players

Pros:

Nice to get a win. Pretty obvious the pressure has lifted.
Won the final 2 quarters.
Greater appetite to tackle and get an intercepting hand in.
Cripps remembered that he can play. Was huge in the last quarter.
Florent, Carroll, Harry, Heywood, Cowan, Hollands.
Very encouraging performances from Wilson and Ison. Loved how we were feeding the ball to Wilson.
Best game from Weitering in a while.
Jagga finding plenty of it.

Cons:

Inaccuracy and wasted opportunities, especially early (once again).
Not much from Hewett, Cerra or McGovern.

was a good game. voss is a huge stress head, and that had filtered down through the group imo. last night we weren't so tight. weren't afraid of making a mistake or three.

weitering looked a helluva lot more engaged than he has in a year's worth of games. harry was a lot more vocal and a leader up front too. i think in one qtr of footy (the 3rd in particular) we made more use of the stand rule but running and overlapping around the mark, then we did in all the other games this year combined and tripled.

little things like, go a long way.

i'm glad voss is gone, and we will see what we really have in this list now. lets keep winning, and let the draft and list people deal with that problem of getting cody here while we 're winning. the afl are the ones who've made that harder, and the system they've implemented encourages tanking.

we need to reset our culture, and that starts with winning right the fffk now.

Exactly.

Our biggest recruitment target should be a winning culture.

Watch the effort and passion in the last and that becomes the base standard.

More hard running and 2nd efforts that in the first 9 rounds combined. Well, it seemed...

I reckon I could support tanking if there was 2 games to go & a good draft pick was in the balance.

But with 13 games remaining or whatever it is, more of last night please. That was good for the entire club.

Also why can't the club get rid of dance cam & make it Vance cam?
