I dunno, Walshy called him the best leader he's come across in football.

Obviously the results weren't there, but he seems to have had a positive impact on the club and the playing group.

That's gotta count for something?

I don't think his leadership skills were in question.
But that is a small part of coaching. Overall, he was an average coach with below average adaptability.

I still think back to things that Wayne Brittain said about him when he was Voss' senior assistant, and how inflexible and arrogant he was.

You know the titanic sunk, never turned around, and never made it to port?

Like he has done with Brisbane previously, he’s left behind a broken club and driven the few talented players we have out to greener pastures.

This resonates with me. Been thinking about this since I read it earlier.

He's left me with broken dreams that's for sure, not sure if we are a broken club. The potential for a better coach to keep the momentum going in 2nd halves seems what is missing. Maybe him leaving opened the door for someone to top up and go again. I hope so.

I believe in at least 20 of our players as the foundation of the future; but that's only 20 of 45. Its obvious SOS and Charlie didn't want to play for him anymore. Not sure how much that hurts, or Vossy's Game Plan and lack of tactical nous.

But he really likes a gamble, and he's a stubborn alpha male; a bull. He put all his chips in that the 3 headed monster Fev Clark & Browny would be fed by greats in their last years of footy Charman, Power, Black, McGrath, Clarke, Sherman, Adcock, Rischitelli, Rockliff, in the hope they would deliver a Flag. They may have done so if Fev didn't go off the rails. We will never know.

Bottom line Vossy is a risk taker, and you could argue its "all or nothing" from Voss.

Its still too early to judge if we are in fact broken, but next year we will know whether we were a broken club when Voss left, or we emancipated ourselves from Voss and played to our potential (over 4 quarters instead of 2).

He's gone.

I'm with Surrey, not with the Titanic analogy, but I think we can turn this around pretty quick, but we need to fill some important gaps with quality: a Ruck, KPF, HB and a Mid, plus another 6 to improve our cover in these plus other positions.

We would have sunk if we kept going and not seen the icebergs.

With our current list as it stands, one KP Forward and one more mid to add to Walker inclusion is all that is needed.
To develop long term, still feel we need a mobile/athletic ruckman - maybe forward / ruck would be gold!!

Agree with KPF and Mid but, apart from bad kicking, we lost our 2nd halves in the ruck imo. We need at least a new No 1 ruck, but both of those types of rucks are needed, whilst O'Keefe is still developing. Plus a line breaking HB. That's why Van Hatton is a beauty for the CB contest. The boy can jump, and that's what is needed at the CB: Pitto can't, Harry can't, HOK can't. They are good around the ground.

We bleed runs of goals from the CB after half time, and the mids, unjustly imo, cop all the blame....and then there's the shocking set shots at goal that kill momentum created from hard work up the ground. It's that black and white to me.

Get me a No 1 Ruck as No 1 priority, and I will be satisfied. Trade for Pick 1 if we have to or Tank if we have to.
