Reidy was crap today.

Reidy has been horrible at AFL level but he was anything but crap in the VFL.

I had him in the best 3 in a 100+ pt win.

Around the ground and at centre he was dominant.

What didn't you like about his VfL game Bondi?

I looked at what he has for AFL, and thought he doesnt.

I looked at his opponents, and how easy he disposed them.
He played against babies. Skinny ones.
He got a bit confidence and tried to bust through packs.
Looked good the couple times he did. Refer back to opponents.

In the first half when the Dees were up and about, Reidy looked like a plodder and didn't do much.

In other words, Reidy for AFL, no thanks. Would prefer Lewis, Harry, OKeefe before Reidy.
He needs to be kicking down the door as opposed to kicking into a skinny kid when he's puffed out in the VFL.

Yeah, I actually agree that he's not AFL standard.

I just didn't think his game was crap in the VFL. I thought he grabbed it by the scruff of the next in the 2nd half and got well on top of weaker opponents. In that game, I'm not sure he could have done much more.

But like you, I def wouldn't be promoting him.

Kemp cannot play this week. That kicking cannot be rewarded. What else does he offer.
I'd take Derksen, Moir or even Young in a heartbeat.
Saad, thanks but you are not up to standard.

My thoughts:

Derksen for Kemp - shocker of a game from Kempy against the lions - Someone said he killed so much momentum with the multiple simple shots at goal he missed and I agree with that. Bring Derko in - has showed in the ressies he can create up forward and kick goals. Can also be shuffled back when needed.

Flynn Young - Maybe not great in the ressies last game, but was banging the door for 3 or 4, maybe 5 weeks prior, get him in. Not sure for who, maybe Evans?

Saad - I stand by what I said awhile back - he shouldn't see senior action again this season - and Im not just talking about that handball in the dying part of the 4th qtr against the Lions - I don't blame him for that - he was rolling the dice because we had to try and win that game, it just didn't come off. Moreso, because he has lost his speed and kicking skills which made him a weapon, as well as any consistent impact on the contest, he had a season or two back.

Acres - do not bring in - similar issues as Saad. Also, I much prefer Carroll over him.

Haynes - has lost form big time. Bring in Lewis Young to replace him.

Kemp has been all heart this year compared to harry.
He clocked up the fasted speed this week, but that kicking....FMD...shouldnt be rewarded.

Basically, he misses every drop punt at goal this year, when cross the body is too far out or too difficult, and getting a few lucky ones from the boundary.

That is NOT AFL standard. That is hit or miss. Momentum killer.

I was starting to really like him for his effort in the last 5 weeks, but last week just killed me and feel Derksen said, this is how you kick a drop punt Kempy, which is exactly what my mates and son were saying after every Derksen goal.

Kempy wont be dropped. He has a few credits in the bank with Vossy.
Why didnt Vossy drop Harry when he was missing everything and not rucking either?
So, not fair to drop Kemp. So, this week ....

OUT: Kemp
IN: Derksen

Haynes has looked like an old man last 2 games. Seriously.
I know his experience and on field coaching goes unnoticed but this week....

OUT: Hynes
IN: Young

Young was fantastic in the VFL. Marked or spoiled everything near him and had McDonald to contend with.
All class. Loved seeing him sell the dummy...don't get too cocky Youngy. You are making the KPD role look easy.

Experimental stages, throw players around and see how they perform.
Bring in the kids that’s all we are looking for.
I didn’t think it made sense for Voss to leave now but its logical if you are looking for future reference

Tanks for your everything Vossy

If we were finals bound, no way would I drop Saad and Hewett.
I don't think Lord is as fit as we'd like him to be

IN: Derksen Young Ison Charleson Lord

OUT: Haynes Saad Hewett Kemp Evans

EMERG: O'Keefe Kemp Cottrell

Reidy is Cain Ackland v2.0. Horrific at AFL level but dominant in the 2s.

Williams is listed as a test but no mention of Walsh or Florent.

 cain Ackland. How could you forget that lost cause.

He too, like Reidy, didnt like contact.
Embarrassing to watch.
Imagine what his team mates thought.
Probably the same as us.

Set up beautifully for the late mystery injury on Friday or game day.

It's impossible to tell what we might do this week. We ran the reigning Premiers to two goals last week. You could argue for zero changes...
