Carlton ended with more inside 50s. Limited Lions marking game in the second half.

Cripps not cooked? 18CP and 9 clearances.

Big contributions after HT from McKay and Hayward.

Jagga was more involved.

Well I get a giggle out of Harry finally playing in the ruck in the Walls game.

I haven't felt this happy after a loss all year.
Some good signs and a great way to go into next week.
Plenty of good vision for coaching to unpack with the players.

Wilson was lost out there tonight.
He only had 49% on ground in the end.
I would like to see more of him, but we also need to win some games.

Very surprised

Second half performance was very good

Winning the ball out of the centre was the key

Harry was fantastic. Maybe it’s the confidence booster to turn his season around.

However, we have seen this before. Competitive but we lost.

Can’t play 4 quarters. So not sure what this will ultimately mean.

We actually played with a bit more run and space. I’m just so confident this team is better than what they produce but flower me if I truly know why. Tonight the first half we looked bottom 2 - no confidence and no structure. The 2nd half turned on its head with no apart reason. Better run, carry and room to execute. I have no answers.

Only tuned in at half time after a family thing.

Reasonably enjoyable game.

There were some good signs but…

If our second half was our first half and our first half was our second half we’d be screaming blue murder right now.

It’s a four quarter game.

Play four quarters you absolute half arsed dumb cauliflower!

Giving the reigning Premiers a fright on there own dunghill is a really good effort . With a bit of luck we could have pinched it .

Yep...

Lions were good early but we looked lost in the first half... players looked confused about where to stand/run.

The difference between our good and our bad is still unacceptable.

I’m convinced they followed my George Costanza opposite theory after HT.

Play like that for four quarters and I think we all live with the outcome.

Run, dare, effort, teamwork, scoreboard nourishment. Much better than being a soulless disorganised rabble.

Means nothing though if we don’t build on it from here.

Let's not get distracted by tonight's second half good showing. The End result is the Same.

Their 1st half was totally unacceptable, even for a VFL level. Voss has to Go...

Everytime we get some players into form, others go backwards. Holland's running was supurb... tried all night.... Hayward finally played his best Game and this is what he was meant to do weekly.

But then again, you have Kemp who just couldn't kick a straight kick, 30m in front, Its unforgivable! Weitering is already over it, Haynes is like a Grandpa playing out there!

It will actually hurt us to Win any Games this Season. We need to accept our miserable fate and bottom out for the sake of the future....

There was a little girl
Who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
When she was good
She was very very good
But when she was bad
She was horrid

Fagan said in the post game interview with Ch7 that he thinks they played badly rather than us being so good in the third. said they tried to handball fast all the time rather than play a balance of contested marking and playing on. but we denied them that uncontested mark game by applying pressure which is well documented as one of our main weaknesses this season. we had loose players in the corridor in those transition plays and took the risk of kicking and HB to them.

I reckon if Saad didn't cough up that goal (after a strong intercept mark that fell into his lap) we go on with it we had so much momentum.

FMD though we need a decent 4-quarters-fit, mobile ruck in the mid- or end-of- season trade period. And three decent talls, one forward, one back and one swing. who'd have thought we'd miss TDK and JSOS so much?… well most of us i guess.

At half-time an 80+ points thrashing was on the cards.
I'm so glad that didn't happen.
Now for the Dogs next Saturday.
Go Blues!

Pros:
- our list is not as bad as everyone thinks

Cons:
- we still need onfield leaders, a leaping second ruck, speed onball, and more run from half back

Not sure how anyone would know about a stress fracture just after a game?

Maybe wait for a proper diagnosis?
