Cook made a lot of good changes and was the one who identified GW as his replacement.
He only wanted to be at the club for 2 years IIRC but stayed on longer to help with the transition and identifying a suitable replacement.

i know he's only a kid, but since his first 3 games, when Jagga Smith gets it he seems to be under some kind of 2 second rule. he handballs it instantly every single time. and that time he handballs it sideways to Cripps who can't kick and just stopped running…? not that he's the source of our troubles but I dont get it, it's like every time.

It's the Cripps factor, he has been doing it his whole career.
If the captain calls for it, you give it to him.
He just can't play anymore so it is more noticeable.
