Good man. Seems to really bleed Navy and definitely wants his kid to play for us without the additional pressure this will bring.
Wish the club had the same b@!!$. Injunction should have been ready to go.

This one seems pretty tame, the headline is 100 times tronger than what was actually said in the article

Well said Tex.

Take note GW and Priestley. You don’t need to tank to draft 2 quality kids. Appeal. Keep the bastards in AFL House honest, let alone fair.

Do we even have an avenue to appeal?

Every club supports the new FS changes, including ours... it's just Blues, Power and Bombres that want "a lick" before they're implemented.

And we definitely can't rely on the support of the remaining 15 clubs.

Wright is basically working for the AFL now. He’s cosplaying being Brian Cook and dreaming of AFL house water cooler chats with Laura Kane about indigenous round and getting a photo in his Collingwood jumper with the next talentless yank performing at the twilight Grand Final. Zero f#cks about our draft picks or club beyond his ambitions.

The question is whether we can stall/ adjorn the new draft rules till after the 2026 draft. Sorta force their hand.

I hope you are wrong bookie.

Hey, but anything can happen.

Perception is our reality

Only time will tell. I give him this Draft and Trade period. That will be the proof I need.

Get me ...

1. Walker
2. RUCK (Trade/Find under a rock)
3. MID FA (Bailey Humphrey)
5. MID FA/ Trade
6. KPF/Ruck
7. Running HBF
8 KPD Depth
9. Contract Charleson
9. Rookie Saad Williams

Then in 2027 surprise me again.

Court injunction on the ground that a process has started (trading draft picks) and is in current play, hence disadvantaging sides who have already put measures in place by trading players/picks. The fact Kody has committed to us, also assists in such a matter.

What the injunction will do, is stop change from occurring until a court case and ruling is made. IMO, the AFL would have little hope of winning to implement these changes in the next 2 or 3 drafts, due to commitment already being made by clubs.

When lawyers are involved you have already lost.
The last president who was arrogant enough to think they were bigger than the AFL commission left a gaping multi year defecit in our list which guaranteed a decade or more of at best mild mediocrity.

Think of Essendon* now who was the latest club to feel the ire of the commission. Rightfully so I may add. They have yet to come to terms just how long it will take to recover from that.

The system in place encourage certain behaviours from clubs and a professional club should follow that ruthlesslessly.

The last president won premierships because he demanded success at Carlton.
The issue was the members fell for the bulldust spread by so called Carlton people who drowned us to where we are today, especially as they were the ones behind a lot of our cap manipulation. Walked away a hero!!!!

I'm still waiting for the new age people and system to get us success, some little success would do!!!
That tells me more who was right and who is wrong.

Truth hurts, I know. It's ok. I'll wait for the new age to deliver and you can say you are right. 30 years and waiting .....
