I can't see Kemp being dropped after kicking three goals. Perhaps Byrne will make way.

Fair comment, if Williams is good to go he must be selected, same with F Young. Perhaps we could rely on Young and Derksen as our sole tall defenders and keep Kemp? Have Harry and Cripps share second ruck duties.

I like this idea, especially with Fogarty missing for them, but I doubt whether the MC would have the kahunas.

So the Cows have been suffering from slow starts but they have strong finishes.
We have been starting strong and not finishing.
It should be interesting to see how this one plays out.
But at $5.50 for us to win, I don't hold any hope.............zilch, nil, nada.
I just want to see us scoring for 4 quarters and hopefully kicking more than 13 goals.

Plus their midfield is allegedly struggling a little.
So I assume they will put a player like Rankine in the middle at times to tear us apart.

Byrne? Averages more inside 50 tackles than any of our players. It would be a very short sighted decision IMO.
Yes. I like the kid too.

Out definites: Weitering, Hayward
In probables: Haynes, Williams

If we want to get Flynn Young in (and his form deserves it) who does he replace?

We will play the whole club into form you mean.
He'll have a Pickett like game if they put him in the middle against Cripps, Hewett & Cerra.

Boyd.

I'd try Hewett in the back pocket as a lock down defender on their best small.
Have a midfield mix of Cripps, Walsh & Jagga and Cerra, Walsh & Jagga with cameos from other players like Williams, Elijah and Byrne if possible.
I'd bring Saad back also to replace Cowan.

Eevryone is been crapping on about Boyd for years, being the best kick ever!

Yet, evertime i watch him play, he does nothing but turn the ball over. He plays like a little school kid who just runs round circles and does nothing with the ball.

The fans cry out for him to be given an opportunity, and when he does get it, He does nothing with it. This only means one thing: If Boyd was traded to another Club, a more established one, he will probably start hitting targets from 50m out and become a damaging dashing player.

We now know for a Fact that at Carlton, any player with potenial will go backwards, because the System we set up for all those kids is doomed for Failure!

Expecting Carlton to leave out reigning best and fairest George Hewett for tomorrow night’s clash with Adelaide. He led the Blues in disposals and tackles last week

Great... They must have already accepted their Fate before the ball is bounced. My tip was 60+, I will go home and change it to 100+ :donk: :donk:

Geez, I hope this means Williams is on the ball/half forward.

Crows drop O’Brien so we’ve countered that be bringing an extra tall in.
Night game, and going to be wet here tomorrow.
Either there’s going to be a late change, or…..?

So Cripps limitations have led us pushing out Kennedy, and now we are going to push out Hewett. If I was George I'd be talking to other clubs starting this weekend. TBH I think I'd prefer George playing than Cripps.

This Club is beyond a Joke!

AFL Website says " Carlton has made a Statement by dropping Hewett ".

So he is not injured and he is not being rested. He is dropped for poor form even though he was the highest ball getter last week.

If I was Hewett, I would request a Trade immediately or quit the Club. Pathetic....

We now have four players in the side over 200cm and one less midfielder. Cripps doesn't have to ruck or go forward. He can concentrate on his midfield work and tire quicker.

I don't know why we are romanticising Hewett, I like him don't get me wrong.
But we have mostly all said we can't have both Cripps and Hewett in the midfield at the same time.
Both players have been down on typical form.
Last week Hewett had:
22 disposals
6 marks
7 tackles
3 clearances
137m gained.

Cripps had:
21 disposals
4 marks
4 tackles
7 clearances
326m gained.

We are screaming at the club and the coaches to have more of a transition game and going by stats, you'd put Cripps a nose in front as the heavy lifter in the middle that moves the ball forwards more.
The coaches are doing exactly what most of us have said needs to happen, putting more speed and transition in the midfield.
Cripps also has the advantage of being the captain, 194cm so he can pinch ruck and if needed he's another tall in defence or attack.
Hewett only plays one position and he is out of form in that role.
The irony of the situation is that we will now see which one of the pair is holding us back the most.
I'm just confused why we didn't add F Young for more firepower in our F50.
There is still time I guess.
Good to see we are testing our midfield set ups either way.

Rain forecast and we go with a second ruck, honestly we throw matches at selection.
