Fixed. It was transferred across from the website in that format, and I couldn't be bothered to update, but here you go. Hope that helps.

Maybe the Geelong offer for Curnow might have been the way to go if I recall it was 3 first round picks but once again we got screwed over from Sydney. I know that we got Hayward and 3 first rounders but we gave up 3 second round picks and I think Sydney will finish a lot higher than Geelong.Carlton will have to get a lot more talent in before we even look like playing finals football again

OMFG.

We don't know what Geelong actually proposed as a trade and never will. It was pure media speculation.

But I'm very confident they wouldn't have given 3 first rounders without demanding something back in return like second rounders.

Andrew Mackie is notorious to deal with and we're kidding ourselves thinking they would've just given 3 first rounders for Charlie with nothing else demanded back.

Even the initial media reports from Sydney were "two first rounders, Hayward and Florent" - there was no talk of us sending second rounders back the other way.

The media headlines focus on the main component and not the ancillary steak knives and finer details of the deal. Stop being so emotional and use logic. Please.

Yep. Forget the hindsight trading/recruiting.
We used Sydney's first to help us obtain Dean, Ison and Byrne. An excellent haul.
That wouldn't have happened had we taken Geelong's offer. Plus we have the remaining picks that will help with Walker.
Don't let a piss poor effort on Thursday detract from the young players we've got.

Interesting article in that ultra right wing rag herald sun re increase in salary cap and the attention Carlton needs to pay to extend Jaggas contract earlier rather than later, given he missed out on potential $130k from injury last year. It’s a typical sensationalist multi topic piece focussing on recent enormous contracts $2M to Reid and Nas; the price KPF Walter will demand; Naicos…

Also Highlights Williams $900k contract coming to an end and likely to be reduced if recontracted alluding that savings would see [$300k] increase in Walsh’s long term contract paid by some of that Williams reduction, despite possibility of retaining Williams.

The recent trade of Charlie for 3 firsts and Hayward enabled us to draft Dean, ISON and Byrne, and we also got Hayward, Florent and another couple firsts for Walker and another to use in 2027.

More than that, we have made salary space approx $1M by shipping out Charlie and a further $1.1M and $650 failing to retain TDK and SOS. Part of that pays for Hayward $650 and Florent $500, so there’s a lot of cap used to front end this year, freeing up more space for next year and beyond.

Article also highlights more salary space to be made from 32+yo Saad, Gov, Newman and Haynes delisted.

Well played Austin.

Now get us a ruckman to replace aging Pitto, another mid and a KPF (improve on Kemp and HOK) with a couple high end FAs to open our window.

I think with Weitering O’Farrell Dean and back up from Derksen, we have our KPDs sorted.

Let’s hope all these new faces in 2026 gel and Vossy’s new game plan helps us score more freely.

Believe me I don’t give a cent to the murderous muzzling Murdoch media.

Free agent list is out. Anyone we like?

Revealed: The official list of AFL free agents in 2026 - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1484069

Buku for free would be nice :). Dunno if Blicavs has anything left in the tank or is interested in a move, but at his best he is just what we need.

Carlton rising star Jagga Smith is on the verge of a three-year contract extension with the Blues.

Was due to come out of contract at the end of 2027, but the new deal would take him through to 2030.

when i see this i feel better about us. there is some talent there and then we get Walker and a few more.
i reckon we need to start playing these names as soon as we can and move past many of the older guys
