I wonder what Wright thinks of Cerra's contract.
Probably thinks like a man with his screwed on. He's a professional. Top of the tree.
"It is what it is. Move on".
Wright's done enough to right the list since he took over, to set himself in a position he does not need to worry too much about individuals within a team. We did that with Curnow and SOS last year, and look at the impact that had on "team".
Supporters are the ones who allow emotion to make their judgements. That's fair enough because supporters are not paid for their professional outlook, and the reason is obvious when you consider supporters are not privy to the information needed to make rational decisions and opinions.
Obsession on contracts, favouritism (hero worship) and whipping boys (scapegoats) are more of a supporter thing, not the Executive. Not all players are equal, but supporters expect them to be because they are on the same list as the next player. Everyone has a role to play, and there are many different positions and roles to be played on the ground.
I think as a club, along with wright, we are moving forward, and stopped this feeling sorry for ourselves, that we are doomed, that we have been cursed. Its time to man up. No Messiahs, just a collective of hard workers playing for each other. That's what I'm feeling for the first time in 30 years.
