I really hope we stick to the basics and get the deals that we need to be done complete (ensuring Dean, Ison, Chesser, Buku) all this week before we pay too much attention to the Curnow media circus. Leave Curnow, Errol, and Butters until next week.

Edit: I don't want us to spend the entire draft period on Curnow permutations and miss out on closing any trade.

I'm sure they can do more than one thing at a time.

I am in no way convinced...

It's the new meta. 1 in F50, 1 in the middle, 1 in D50.

Win almost every tap inside the arcs against the opponent's KPP and get our boys first use.

Can't lose.

In that scenario you'll need a fourth ruck on the bench to give the other three guys a rest

I can't believe they think Carlton's list managers are going to fall for the same stupid trick they pulled on GWS when they got Jeremy Cameron.

So 3 first round picks!! wowooowee!. Read the small print...pick 17, 19 and probably another next year around that too.

Let's revisit the GWS/Cameron robbery.

GWS got Conor Stone...he's played 5 games in 2021, 1 in 2022, 3 in 2023 etc... his stats are below average in kicks etc.
Oh but GWS didn't completely miss out!
They also got ...wait for it....Ryan Angwin!
He played 10 games this year, 4 last year...and he also is below average in most stats.

Jeremy Cameron's been selected in 3 All-Australian teams, Coleman medallist etc... one of the top 5 players in the league.

If Carlton do this trade, actually any trade with Geelong, featuring Curnow, that's it for me. I'm off the bus. I'm out. I won't renew my membership. It is beyond stupid to deal with this club. And Carlton doesn't even HAVE to play ball, whilst GWS was in a tougher situation with him being a free agent. Not forgivable if they do Curnow for 3 picks around pick 20.

100% agree.

not all picks are created equally.

3 x 1st rounder sound great, but reality, with Geelong, with a Curnow, would most likely finish in the same position again next year

Terrible trade for carlton.

When you’re selling a house, you need two interested parties to get the best deal. Let the cats play. Let the swans play. We will sell to the highest bidder. Blues simply need to hold true to their reserve price.

We would be better off to trade Charlie to Tasmania in 2027 for picks - 5, 7 and 11.
