Still run by very ordinary performers who make arbitrary decisions on the fly and governed by a very ordinary board -the AFL Commission

It's still a blokes club, mates looking out for mates.

sad but true enough. emergence of the new breed of players untarnished by our clubs dirty history is a silver lining. as is AFLW team, showing the culture and executive decision making might be on the improve. fingers crossed, we all bleed blue and they need to stop taking supporters for granted.

looks like the two Craigs felt the same way. maybe daddy Daicos read them the riot act, he'd tell his son's to trade to the saints if Collingwood did a salary dump.

How do they formulate the compensation… does anyone know?

So TDK on 1.7 m a year, surely that beats what Brisbane is offering for Oscar Allen?

Is it based on where the club finished on the ladder? What compo you get?

Anyone know if there are other criteria?
Cause Oscar Allen now has Gallop for competition.. might not rven be top dog there such is their riches.

apparently one year of age makes all the difference in Brisbanes premiership window compared to saints (are you f'ing kidding me AFL House?!). Honestly don't understand the formula and how their top pick is more important than where they finished on the ladder (if it is, not sure what people mean by 'it relates to their top pick (or what it would have been').

True - no shade on video guy.

I just don't know what the point of it is from the club.

I just don't know what the point of it is from the club.

They were both doing their jobs.

Davies or Wright copped a hint from, probably, Priestley and the thing got done.

Complete nonsense.

You know, boys, there are a lot of people out there who aren't on footy forums and who don't read the paper, and who don't get their info from X... just becasue there wasn't much in the video for you doesn't mean that there's not a large audience for who this is the one (and only) bit of messaging from the club they're going to interact with.

Can’t update on Cody because the goal posts are still moving.
Can’t update on the compensation picks because we might need to use them to secure Cody.
Can’t update on Dean or Ison because we don’t promise until we’re certain we can deliver.
Can’t update on Charlie because he hasn’t nominated a club.

It’s too late now. The 10 day trade period has started.

The time to change was anywhere in the previous 355 days.

I thought they settled on what the FS would be for next year.

What a circus, it was interesting to hear Davies on SEN this morning, so clubs still don't know in full what it will look like next year????

If that's the case, how can clubs plan for 2026?

Fiorini heading to the Scum, apparently.

I’d be wanting to trade, if I’m the Suns. Not sure the Scum care too much, but it would move their Draper pick from 20 back to 27 (for now) if they were to sign him as a free agent.

@RileyBev

We have our first trade!

Paperwork has been lodged on the Liam Reidy trade. Carlton will get Reidy and Picks 53 and 71, Fremantle will get Picks 50 and 68.
