I think our club's supporters are no different from other clubs, after all, we're basically all pooled from the same society. That said, I'd like to think that no Carlton supporters would laugh and cheer if Richo did his knee during a game, as I believe some Richmond supporters did to Kouta.

All clubs have their ferals, some probably more so than others, but hopefully our lot are in check most of the time.

Again with the Kouta knee example, most likely some people would be stupid enough to cheer someone else's misfortune, but it's not in the league of the filth slime Cats supporters who cheered Milburn's act

Funny I posted about the same game and I didn't read your post...are you talking about the possibly life threatening behaviour of Kilpatrick and Milburn (hits to the head like that, it's only a matter of time before a Pickett style incident does more damage than we care to think about) or the fans?

On Friday night I sat behind a Blues Member, he was in section P1 row A and around seat 14? He spent the first three quarters bagging Carlton players, saying Campo was too slow and too old, screamed at Waite to get off the ground after a mistake and gave it to Lance when he kicked but should of handballed near goals.

Complete turnaround from this moron in the last quarter when the Blues stormed home. I felt sorry for his two young children having a role model like that as a father. A real fair weather supporter and I have to sit behind him for the rest of this year at the MCG.

Oh and I just don't get why anyone would abuse their own players at the football, it drives me insane to hear it. It's something I've almost never been guilty of except actually the only time in my life I've almost done it are when Davies is playing but instead I just madly kick and hit the chair in front of me and mutter to the person next to me that he should get dragged to preserve my sanity

I'm sure you could tell us many reasons why those feral scum Cats 'supporters' would want to abuse the filth they've got playing for them?

Go on, you know you want to. :)

Pretty sure he was talking about the fans. What Milburn did was wrong and many of us, including me, still hold a grudge against him for that. There have been plenty of worse and more dangerous hits though.

I think his point was that we have our fans who overstep the mark and became almost physically involved with an opposition player. There is NO place for this in our game.

However no fan did become physically involved, and really there was nothing stopping them. And I find nothing wrong with the presence in the carpark after the game, our fans did absolutely nothing wrong IMO. The police acted inappropriately by allowing Milburn to stay on the ground and they are to blame for the almost nasty scenes

no one is to blame other than Milburn.

When he laughed as he came off - if i was on the field as a player and saw that i would have decked him then proceeded to beat the living shit out of him.

That was the most disrepectful thing i have ever seen on the footy field. Even Murphy, in the year he was at the cats, told him to pull his head in.

Yeah I do agree but I thought the police had a duty of care in any case to diffuse the situation which they didn't do really.

I also wonder sometimes why they don't arrest the players for assault (actually arrest don't bring up Leigh Matthews) if let's say a player king hits someone...why doesn't a cop go out and arrest that player if they witnessed it

i have to put my hand up and admit to going feral on occasions at the footy. not so much at our players, but at some of the umpiring decisions. what can i say. footy is an emotional game. i will give the umps a blast. i give opposition players a serve too. when one of our guys messes up, my usual response is, what is <insert name here> doing?!?!?!?!!?!? other well used phrases are what on earth are they doing!?!?!?!?!?!!? and my personal favourite... for christ's sake blues!!!! MAN UP!!!!!!!

look i'm certainly not an angel at the football. i don't crucify our own blokes though, and i never take any enjoyment from an opposition player getting injured. mind you there have been a couple of players of the years that i've finally lost patience with. justin murphy used to get to me. as did simon fletcher and mick mansfield. i'm sure there are others too, who have had a player that you just couldn't stand. the one thing that i need to work on is my language at the footy   espescially now that i have a kid who is about 9 or 10 sitting in front of me for home games at the 'G'.

Going nuts at the footy is one thing or getting frustrated with a player, I reckon some of the potty mouth stuff that comes out of my mouth would shock a sailor. But when supporters jump on the bandwagon and just mouth off at total crap, they are the worst. They all go in the same basket as those ferals tearing up their memberships and spitting on players. Disgraceful.

That post was so over-the-top I initially thought it was written to be funny.

I don't think so though.

Agreed & thanks for removing it, although shouldn't we delete the quoting of it too?

Youre right to delete it but it is quoted above which defeatts the purpose.
Small brained poster like that doesnt cause much offence when you read the rest of his posts and realise the 'quality' of individual we are dealing with

OK so if Carlton doesn't win this week or next week I'm converting to another team coz this is very ridiculous.

atm they didn't deserve to win the Wiz Cup coz they are playing like a pack of girls, so they need to win or I'm over it.

OK now they'll win, coz it's the last quarter and this is where they start to work. I hope.
