Nope, but he is ugly, carries on like a mofo, used to play for dongs and plays well against Carlton. Thats more than strikes 2 and 3 right there.

Surprised Acres isn't back in. Why do we need two small forwards in?

The 4/5 small forwards who rarely mark is contrary to the way Collingwood set up their forward line?

They have 3 talls. mihochek, mcstay and Hoskin Elliott.
2 hybrid fast marking forwards Elliott & Schultz. All seem good at marking.
And O’Sullivan (small).

Carlton have one tall & a ruckman who rarely marks & four smalls/3 smalls?
Oh well.. I guess it is a different plan. Good luck.

3 talls, Tap? Hoskin Elliott is 186cm.
In fact, McStay is their only forward over 193cm.

Milochek is 192cm.

and the 3rd tall is Membrey who is 188cm.

Yes, hence why I stated McStay is their only forward taller than 193cm.

IMO Collingwood's strength is their forward line is full of hybrids who can impact on the ground and in the air. McStay, Mihocek, Hoskin Elliott, Elliott, Membrey. All can compete in the air but not be exposed when the ball hits the deck. Their leading mark inside 50 is Jamie Elliott who is shorter than the high flying Marc Murphy.

Reckon we have missed Brodie Kemp myself . He can take a grab and jag a goal . Thoughts of trading this bloke is nuts .

We have missed him badly, such has been the state of our injuries and is the state of the depth on our list.

Mick. I want to keep Kemp, at this stage, as depth....till he bashes the door down in the VFL.

I have no doubt the move of Kemp away from backline last in 2024 was for good reason.
I have no doubt we longed to get Silvagni back to fill the 2nd ruck position/ or 3rd tall before Kemp.
I have no doubt Silvagni's request to play KPD, like his dad did, created the spot for Kemp to camp in the fowardline, if Charlie and Harry were also fit.
Our other choices for the 3rd tall forward were: Young Lemmey O'Keefe. Slim pickings TBH. I would play Kemp ahead of them too. Just.

I've seen him miss too many easy shots and easy marks to think he's a player who I could rely on to consistently mark and snag a goal.

He's not a kid anymore. He's 24yo. He's played his 50 games. I want to keep him because he's the right age and cheap (for a reason)

This is what our now mature First round player, pick 17 has delivered:

Rnd 1 v Rich CHF 83% GT 8 disposals, 2 marks 1.2
Rnd 2 v Haw FP 92% GT 6 disposals 0 marks 1.0
Rnd 3 v WB FP 87% GT 12 disposals 7 marks 5.1
Rnd 4 v Coll CHF 87% GT 7 disposals 4 marks 0.0
Rnd 5 v WCE IC 64% GT 10 disposals 2 marks 0.1

One good game out of 5 games is not what I would call consistent or reliable.

He's handy, and he could plug a hole in need, and we love him because he tries his guts out, but imo wouldn't get a game in any of the Top 10 teams. That's where we are at imo. I'm not saying he's reached his ceiling, and I wouldn't Trade him for anything less than a 2nd rounder, given his 2nd ACL but prefer to keep TBH unless we find 8 better mature players from Trades and a few left field Draft picks for mature players. Not sure what his upside is after his 2 ACLs but in order to contend for a Flag we need more depth and improvement on our regulars, of which Kemp was before he got injured.

Time will tell with Kempy. To be fair, one preseason as a forward and 5 games isn’t enough to determine his capacity to play fwd
