Expect this to be looked at today by the MRO.
If it’s deemed careless umpire contact, the AFL has the ability to send Adam Cerra to the Tribunal for an elevated fine or suspension.
He’s had three charges inside two years.

The game went better than expected looking at the two line ups. Thought we looked a bit different last night than previous few weeks.
Good to see Cripps back up and running. Overall we still look highly stressed and in knots. Thought Charlie had a good game. Havent seen him mark like that for a couple of years.
Carrying Lord, Young, HOF, Carroll, Motty and Cow along with Fog ( gone backwards ) was always going to be hard against the Lions was always going to be a tough ask. I reckon those guys gifted the Lions 8 goals. To be expected I guess.
I sense a win or close game at least is not too far away.

That passage of play in the last where 3 players didn't want to take a shot at goal sums up where we are atm... no confidence whatsoever

That Ashcroft goal where Pitto and Weiters just looked at eachother was wtf?... the need Jack back asap

Charlie needs Harry up forward... that's the way we're drilled to play, bomb, bomb, bomb... no Kemp to help out and TDK is off with the fairies.

Cripps was better this week, especially in the first half, and everyone was up and about... sadly, he is the game plan.

I think Carroll gifted 5 all by himself. Even worse than the run-downs from behind - which you can partially blame on team mates - was that contest in the goal square where he left his man, then didn't contest the aerial ball and just watched helplessly as the ball spilled to his man for a walk-in goal. I'd be annoyed if an Ozkicker (not Durds) did that. But while Durds is on my mind... @#$%&! off with trying to take Mark of the Year every week you dipshit... you got lucky twice, don't ruin it.

Don;t do the basics well. That is kicking to a teammate, set shots and not making dumb mistakes in defence. Really could have bene close if we kick 60% of our set shots and Matt Carroll doesn;t play. I have no idea how he gets a game over Boyd.

Wasn't aware players were supposed to have eyes in the back of their head. Also, Neale gives him a shove.

Just before half time we were two goals down and coming . Then became like a Keystone Cops movie . Horrendous skills and in the blink of an eye we go into half time five goals down . Do we train in slow motion ? anyhow , they had a crack but the talent deficit was too large . Even with a full list to choose from they wouldn't be good enough . We need high end talent added or we will come up short . Really hoping for some of these kids to take the next step .

Charlie was a midfielder in the TAC.
WE know, like all Curnows, he has a good engine
I was surprised to see him moving like he did.

He's mobile, like Harry, but Harry is a better chance in a one on one in the goal square than Charlie is.

It just turned on its head.

The usual suspect was involved in most of our comedies

Yeah Carroll had a bit of a shocker .
But I would definitely keep playing him because:
- he uses the ball by foot better than most and his kicks are to an attacking option
- he uses the ball better by hand than most
- he competes in the air quite well for a skinny kid.
Boyd isn't better than him. Can they play both?

Wasn't it TDK's role to be the one Charlie could kick too and compete 1:1 in the goal square?

Maybe TDK should take lessons from Pitto on competing.

For the Ashcroft goal, Pitto’s arm was held by the Lions ruck well before the ball arrived so he couldn’t jump or get near the ball, he was appealing to the ump afterwards, not to Weiters for not covering for him.

Yes Charlie needed someone up forward, and that was supposed to be TDK. TDK getting smashed in the ruck and smashed in the fwd line, time to replace him with either Skull or Lemmey.

Yeah this notion about a fracture in the playing group/club has some merit. How can you go from premiership fancy to not being able to execute basic skills.

Especially considering the abruptness of it all. What happened between the players after last season's GWS collapse? Because they were world beaters until 25% of the way through that game, and completely bereft of skill, confidence or fight ever since. It's such an even comp, what starts as a small chip can soon lead to a complete windscreen replacement. Call Lochie O'Brien's.

It's all the list managers fault... he recruited players that were only able to kick for 2.5 years

CARLTON midfielder Adam Cerra has been charged with careless contact with an umpire by the Match Review Officer.

The incident occurred late in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game against Brisbane.

The MRO has referred the matter to the tribunal. Timings for the tribunal hearing will be confirmed early next week.

FFS - Neale pushed him backwards into the umpire, it should be Neale who is reported!

Also what about the other Lions player who knowingly stood behind the umpire and tripped him?
