Joke.
No statement, no substance, no idea for the future.

Playing the same worn out players with no conscious to improve

I'm going to delude myself that TDK would've been dropped if L Young hadn't got injured.

Mate , Frankie continually makes good position only to be continually ignored by his more highly fancied teammates . We are a team within a team . Kick it to your mate under 10's style .

After being threatened by a supporter, Voss is letting the team stand up for him. Let’s see if this group backs the coach.

5 day break after VFL and prospect of a thrashing is probably not the best time to blood more kids.

Dees next weekend is a better prospect.

Give us some @#$%&! effort ffs. If the Roos can get a draw against them, we can compete.

There ya go.

A little bit of common sense.

Yeah , plenty of youth in that side . Lemmey named in the emergencies is good . Gives him incentive , lets him know he is close .

I'm expecting Lemmey to get a few games, to see where his development is at.
He is playing for a contract extension.
O'Keefe is back this week too, and I expect he will be given game time in the AFL too.

On the positive side of things, we will be hanged, drawn and quartered first up so we can all get on with our weekends.

I wonder if he even plays this weekend.

Has been a shell of the man who commanded admiration in 2023.

Back, shoulder injuries, and 31yo next year.
He's not a tackler any more and more of a bumping and shepherding machine with that big body.
Seems like the game has gone past him. Played only one good game vs North this year imo. Not good enough.

He would be a handy big bodied mid for the VFL team, but with only 5 VFL games to go, he falls one short to qualify for VFL Finals is we make it.

If you want to be Bold & Make a Statement, Drop TDK and send him back to the VFL for the reminder of the year... The guy has totally checked out and is no longer interested in playing for Carlton. He is trying to stay Injury Free so do him a favor and put him to bed so he can have some Value when its time to send him to the Saints!

He's too good for VFL, but I've been disappointed that his presence in the team has had a negative impact to the team's psyche. That's just been my opinion this year. If he didnt commit by MSD, then he was no good for us moving forward. Not only has he been beaten by his opponent since round 1, regardless of his stats, he has progressively has become disinterested in competing through out the 2nd half.

He IS the elephant in the room. He was never going to give up $5M to stay with Carlton, and not risk injury and lose that offer from Saints.

TDK is another example of the tail wagging the dog. This is what we have become at Carlton. Held to ransom by a bunch of premadonnas. Stuff him, and stuff those who are not prepared to go to war for carlton.

He might not qualify, but he could get them to the play in with plenty of fuel in the tank.
Extra body, midwinter… could only help the first year blokes that are driving the team.

If you look past the selections and have a look about where they've selected people, we're trying *something*.

B: Alex Cincotta - Jacob Weitering - Oliver Hollands
HB: Lachlan Cowan - Nick Haynes - Sam Docherty
INT: Harry O'Farrell
They're trying something here. Attempting to improve our pace in the backline and combat the Lions smalls. I don't mind Cincotta playing as a small lock-down defender.

C: Matthew Carroll - Patrick Cripps - Zac Williams
R: Tom De Koning - Adam Cerra - George Hewett
INT: Marc Pittonet - Cooper Lord
They've put players who are better kicks and faster on the wings. They might not have the diligence of the players thy've replaced, but it may improve our delivery forward. The others are the same... and that's disappointing as it's the mids that have been getting smashed. Again, Voss backs his players to respond.

HF: Mitch McGovern - Charlie Curnow - Lachie Fogarty
FF: Jesse Motlop - Ashton Moir - Orazio Fantasia
INT: Flynn Young - Corey Durdin
There's actually a lot of pace and skill in this forward line. I mean, there's also a lot of players who can absolutely disappear out of a game, but if the delivery to the forwards improves... and we don't just bomb it to Andrews, then there's something there.
