Charlie wins a rare possession on the wing, swings around on his right and looks for a target.

He sees 190cm Moir, with 200cm AA Moore right on him.

What does Charlie think and do? Remember that moment?

Sure play the kids, but play kids in their right position imo.

Since when was Moir a KPF? Nothing worthy to gain from that imo.

Bout the only positive is we are getting games into the young blokes . And I must say Matt Carrol battled away all night . He never chucked in the towel . And as he has done in the Magoo's Ashton Moir showed glimpses . Just gotta keep persisting with these kids . Hopefully they try a few more . Couldn't do worse and we don't wanna die wonderin" .

Buggered if I'm watching the replay but based on highlights, stat sheet and a full watch of last week's magoos, I agree that things are looking up on the Moir front. 9 possessions at 78% isn't too bad for a Carlton forward against the league's top defence, 3 contested marks out of 7 for the entire funking team, and a nice goal plus an assist - that's 25% goal involvement (tiny voice goes "yay!"). He'll learn from THAT turnover... being able to kick a 50m set shot off either foot is an incredible weapon but at the top level they're quick and alert enough to respond to it so don't overdose on candy.

Ashton Moir and Carroll are two of our best ball users by foot ffs!

What a disgrace our recruiting has been.

No on the contrary I like what I see.

It's a dig at the rest of our list who are pathetic kicks and by extension the recruiters.

They win the ball and just kick it forward (u14’s) ……. If they are lucky they might get one handball in, but hardly ever 2 handballs or even to a runner on the outside. They refuse to move and create space in the forward line and just compete for the same ball at the same spot…..……… I haven't seen a more headless bunch, running around for a while - no structure or setup or idea…………..yep it’s the players!! These players just don’t listen to what the coaches are asking and are playing an old school game plan. Sack them ALL.

I turned the TV on with 9min to go in the last and seen Acres kick the ball to the wrong side of TDK which got spoiled when another Carlton player was open 10m further up the ground.
I turned the TV off after that.
