Moir and Cowan should come in as a bare minimum and hopefully Durdin, Charleson, Carroll, B Campo and Lemmey come under consideration as well.
Move Charlie further up the ground and given Flynn Young a full game FFS.
If we move the magnets around and try something different then we might be a chance.

Make sure you bring prunes into your diet, I foresee constipation in your future.

JSOS out - Groin issues again. Could miss the rest of the year.

Do not give him a 4 year deal FFS!

From the Presidents email to Members this week

Quote:
While the Club is making strong progress across many areas of the organisation, clearly our on-field performance is not where we want it to be. With eight rounds remaining in the AFL season, we are not wasting any time in getting the most out of this period. Our focus is firmly fixed on maximising these weeks to ensure at the end of the season, we will make calm, rational and considered decisions that take the Club forward.

Sounds like we are not selecting to win games, but rather use these next 8 weeks to make rational list changes come year's end.

My changes would be

OUT Saad, Motlop
IN: Cowan, Evans

Depsite Evans looking like our best small forward in the VFL, I don't think he's a player we need to look at.

Cowan or Charleson for Saad

Maybe Moir for Motlop.

Ben Camporeale must be close to get the nod, for, Lord? I think Lord is a keeper on the list.

You've got Evans as an "in" but then say we don't need to look at him. I agree with the latter, BTW, just confused what you're advocating. Anyway, see above, JSOS is cooked so that's the first one we have to sort out.

I don't want to drop Saad if we want to use the remaining time to implement faster ball movement. He should be leading the charge, even if he's not the future.

Edit: forgot Saad is out due to protocols. Ffs.

Base on rewarding form in the VFL, I'd say its Evans who gets the nod, but since reading the email from President, anything can happen in the next 8 weeks.

It depends on how good a showing Board wants from the players vs Pies this Friday night.

Is SOS really having groin problems?????

yes, was reported in The Age..

Quote:
The Blues’ on-field woes have worsened with defender Jack Silvagni in doubt for Friday night’s clash with Collingwood at the MCG. Silvagni is nursing a groin issue, and did not join in training with the main group on Monday.
He was restricted to jogging alongside Harry McKay in the rehabilitation group, having been managed late in the Power clash.

Silvagni, an unrestricted free agent, has been nursing the groin issue since he was subbed out of the clash against Sydney in round 10. He missed the following match, before the mid-season bye.

Fellow defender Jacob Weitering, nursing an ankle issue, trained strongly, and appears likely to face the Magpies.

This confirms why JSOS looked cooked in the second half when they moved him fwd, I wondered what was going on.

I am not sure I believe the bit about Weitering.

Also

Quote:
Carlton president Rob Priestley has failed to guarantee Michael Voss will coach the Blues in 2026, declaring the club will use the next two months to help make calm and rational decisions at the end of the season.

Thanks sinners

I just saw the channel 7 report

He's not been 100% since that dreaded Sydney game.

That will make it 10 out injured for this week's game.

Haven't won a game with more than 8 out injured.

Come on down Mr Harry O'Farrell.

My guess is

Out: Saad (protocols), JSOS (injured)
In: Cowan, O'Farrell

Assuming O'Farrell was rested on Saturday night and not injured. If he's injured then promote Carroll or Charleson, both are in good form.

Docherty, Fogarty and Motlop will all be lucky to be retained.

If they are serious about "not wasting time" in the next eight rounds I suspect we'll see Moir and Charleson, but hopefully they spread the debuts over a few rounds instead of throwing the youngsters to the wolves en masse.

Evans and Durdin are also in good form, Evans in particular.

Not sure what we do if Weitering doesn't get up, Young is the logical replacement but then we have no second ruck (unless we use Cripps), Lemmey is not really ready and Pittonet is still really cooked.

He was the travelling emergency, and didnt play VFL.
No idea why he didnt play VFL, given the AFL game was on Thursday.

 Lets see what power the President has over the Coach/MC.

yeah ... wholesale changes would be expected here, huh?

docherty's papers should be stamped and he's never to be seen in the 1sts again.

no jack, saad. crazy we played jack into the ground with his groin, and are right now doing the same with weiters and his ankle. i'd rest weiters and let him heal.

blood a kid or two - maybe ben campo, possibly give moir a go. surely there's room for cowan too.
