(Probably explains why I am not a senior coach.)

You'd end with only 6 on the ground, all in the backline

That’s if we get everything right with this next rebuild…. To be honest it’s going to be tough with the amount of leg ups the northern teams are getting with their academies. 3 of the top 4 in the u18 league are the northern academies. They are no longer niche markets. The amount of talent coming through is enormous and they get unfettered access to it. It’s a blatantly rigged system designed to ensure the northern clubs are successful so the AFL can take over those markets. Not to mention Tassie coming in soon.

We’re already coming from a long way back and we’ve got one hand tied behind our back. Honestly, who knows when we will see another flag

Still to early I think, I’d like to see him keep playing at this level for a few more weeks in the VFL

If that pans out we're getting into Fitzroy territory - 1944 best team in the VFL with the most flags (8) - 50 years later out of the AFL.

Glad to hear that Moir is starting to hit his straps in the VFL and it sounds like Cowan played well also.
As a minimum, both of these two should come into the side.

Do we really want to bring Moir in for Collingwood given that his last senior game was against them?

As far as naming a side how about we wait till the magoos get a chance to strut there stuff against Port Melb on Saturday night . Great opportunity for a keen and ambitious young bloke to put his hand up . I"ll be watching with great interest . Be great if Lemmey and Moir showed something . Also Cowan will be the one I would like to see play a good game . Lachie is one with a bit of shit in him and if ever we were crying out for a bloke like that is now . And Lachie runs straight . He don't cut corners .

Watched the Magoo's tonight . Spirit , the showed it I loved it . At Port its only a matter of time before the boffo starts and when it came our boys were up for it . Everyone flew the flag . Onya boys . All the AFL listed boys did well . Tick to that big ruckman Riley . Sign him up .
Anyhow , who gets a promotion on that effort ? definitely Lachie Cowan and Ashton Moir play against the Pies . I would think hard about giving Ben Campo a go . He surprised me with his physicality . He gos in hard for the ball . Under consideration would be Corey Durdin and Jason Binns .................. haven't thought about who I would drop but two certain inclusions for me are Cowan and Moir .

Binns didn't do it for me. I'd be up for giving Ben Campo a run. Cowan, Durdin: yes, yes. And now I'm thinking yes to Moir too, despite what I just posted. The seniors need the rocket up the arse.

Binns problem is his disposal and decision making. It is a real concern.
Tonight he turned it over to many times for this level. In the North game he had 17 disposal. Seven resulted in turnovers and 4 resulted in goals to North add this to that horrendous shot on goal that missed everything from 25 metres out that is 5 goals he cost the team. He is 21 in a couple of months and into his 3rd season.
I know he is not alone and it appears that our king panic merchant and turnover king has been showing him the ropes and that is Docherty.
It's a hard gig winning possession in football and even harder to gain territory down field you can't afford to many that keep giving it back.
Players in the middle usually have high possession and high turnover numbers but if you are on the outside you should not be turning it over 7 times.
Unfortunately Binns is another that join Doc Saad and Acres and the miss shot kings Curnow Fog and Motlop who give the ball back.
This is also what is holding the Campo boys back.

I reckon Binns' best game was his debut against West Coast

Since then I can't say I've seen a great deal that's impressed

To all Blues supporters/members out there especially those who are disillusioned with the current state of affairs let's all make an effort to front up on Friday night.
It may not be pretty but let's show some support ..... We do give a shit!
