Nothing sure than Powell-Peppar getting in our faces and trying to upend a few . I tell ya , if we cop it like Lambs like we did against North then I will go ape droppings . Don't care who's in and who's out , whether we win or lose , don not under any circumstances roll over .

A mild 13 and rain.

Like every day.

Some big news out of Carlton ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with Port Adelaide: Patrick Cripps has been quarantined from main playing group due to illness. Blues still hopeful he’ll play. @FootyonNine

Update

No Patrick Cripps for today’s Captain’s Run in Adelaide due to illness. The Blues confident he’ll play.

Jacob Weitering still proppy but completed agility drills & did the full session. Looks good to go after his ankle injury.

No Matt Carroll or Jaxon Binns with the squad of 30

"Quarantined" gives me lockdown flashbacks.

Also if he has something like gastro he's probably already infected half the side anyway.

I hope he doesn't play . The bloke is exhausted . Give him a spell before he's burnt out completely .

How about you Persist with Binns for the rest of the year and get him to learn the craft the hard way? he is the future isn't he?

But NO, he publically gets humilated by the Coach as if he was the only One not doing his job, then will get dropped tonight whilst some of the Seniors continue to get games with no accountability what so ever.... This is where we are as a Club.... Pathetic!

We had a bye early in the season, he played a couple good games. His last 6 weeks he's been average. Last week he was going to "level up" and was beaten.

I'm not letting Cripps make excuses.

Hewett has been carrying this group all year. Cripps has been ordinary. We've been carrying him.

His handballs dont hit targets. Because of that, his target has to bend down at the bouncing ball, look up and gets crunched, when he should be hit on the tit by Cripps so thay can run off. Cripps makes us sooooo slow, when you count the seconds it tale from his hanball to his targets movem, ent with ball secured.

And when he gets the ball, he's gone back to mr superman selfishly trying to get himself into the game to find form and in doing so burns his team mates in abetter postion for a hand ball.

Thanks Effes and Crusader for giving me the courage to look at question his output, not take him for granted, and look at him closely. I went back and watched games after Effes said post game for the 2nd week in a row Cripps was average after I doubted his harsh opinion on Cripps. Effes was right. Cru was also saying itfor a while.

He's th friggin captain and he's not moving hearts and minds let alone his arse out of the midfield group he stifles.

Tell it as it is....maybe he injured. maybe he's got a runny nose, maybe his babee kepy him up, maybe he's reading too many self awareness and leadership books.

Paralysis through analysis. That's what he's suffering from.
He's planning on his post footy future as a motivator, that's why he loves Vosssy, and he's not thinking of winning games, otherwise he'd be geeing up his team mates and get rigght up them to keep them on their toes....instead he allows players to be conditional.

Hollands is the one who looked like he needed a rest imo.

His shoulder dropped. He couldnt tackle and use his left arm.

He's just a skinny kid.

If he plays that's the state of our depth.

I bet Binns will be dopped for chasing kicks like it was VFL and not playing his role, and we are forced to keep Hollands on the ground.

He's got one year left on his contract. He's costing us $100K pa plus games. Less than LOB when he had a contract, but was delisted to make way for Acres.

Give you my tip. He aint the future.

Sub. Luke Campo.

Time to mix it up. Charlie needs a wake up call. Make him accountable and have Weits screaming at him for 4 quarters. Sure it upsets the back 7 but really........WGAF about now.

SOS will compete and is in good marking form. Gov is moving well and in good form. Get Cerra on the outside doing Acres role. Get Cincotta into the game more, maybe run with Butters at times.

Wilson for some speed so tell him to take them on at every opportunity. He deserves a game. Ben Campo wins his own ball and deserves a game. Boyd has foot skills. Young to compete and bring it to ground. Also ruck inside F50. O'Farrell is being wasted in the VFL, so get him into the team and blood him some more.

Doc, Acres, Carroll, Pitto, Mots and Binns out.

Regards Cazzesman

Cazzesman, I generally like what you are proposing....

Some comments on the players I have highlighted:

1. Curnow - has not laid at least one tackle, THATS right at least one tackle on his direct opponent or anyone else for that matter for at least 7 games this season!. DO we really want to trust him as CHB???

2. Ollie - should he even be playing? his formline probably does not support it nor does the fact whats going on with Eli, and its effect on Olllie. Pretty sure either or both may explain Ollies decline in effectivenss, output etc of late.

3. Cerra - Mr "almost". good against the dons, horrible and missing/disinterested against North. Owes the club ALOT - he should be providing consistently good games not adhoc fits and spurts.

4. Crippa - a big WTF is going on? Put urself in the media all guns blazing - "I will level up".... "I hold myself to high standards", blah, blah, blah.... You hardly gave a yelp after all of that media fanfare (and over this season as a whole). You are our Captain - Lead - FFS!!!

5. SOS as Full forward????? Has been a revelation and likely in the top 5 of MVP at this point AS A BACKMAN. I understand playing move the deckchairs, but this aint a chair u want to nor should we want to be moving....

Always open to suggestions BRMW.

I hear everything you say. I'm just looking for a spark. The John Kennedy moment..."Don't think, just do."

Happy to see your team and thoughts. Happy to hear anyone's team and thoughts for that matter.

Charlie hasn't laid a tackle, so maybe CHB is just the place where he has to put on his big Boy pants and Manup. You know the other 5 defenders will be reminding him of his recent tackle count. Just on Charlie he has a 55 metre lethal boot on him. No-one else in our defense has a flat kick like that. Get the ball to him and tell the wingers to get on their bike.

This team needs a 240 volt jolt from somewhere. Who's flicking the switch????

Regards Cazzesman

Hey Cazzesman

Fair enough

Since posting it was good to hear Billy Wilson and Flynn Young will debut.

You would think one of them might be Sub?

I hope Wilson gets a full game.

How about if not Charlie at CHB - giving him a crack in the middle on occasion?

Some rumors going around that Crippa is ill and won't be playing.

Id like to think Cerra will lift if thats the case

Maybe Ben Campo in to replace Ollie?

You are right though the team desperately needs a spark, but really it should be coming from the team as a whole.

They all would and should have got an almighty rocket during review of the North Game. They simply HAVE to respond...

Go Blues

The whole team was awful, with the exception of Hewett Haynes and Gov....Ollie tried with one arm in a sling.
Fantasia and williams ok for a half.

Carroll was on and off an elite player in McKercher. Cincotta should have tagged him, not Carroll. Carroll played better than Charlie, who had a rookie who was delisted by Swans and kept Charlie goaless.

Lets see teams...I think Carroll can do with a rest. He's still young, 20yo, too young for the big boys. Thats where we are as a club.

One 20yo out and another 20yo in. Come on down Wilson.

Its a kindergarten. I hate this sort of shit. Develop the kids in the VFL, but our cupboard is bare. Its a crisis.

I wonder how many injured players we play.
