So we now have eight player guaranteed to be out for the next 4-5 rounds, including E Hollands. With potentially 10 players out for this weekend.

On the flip side we may have up to four players back after round 20.

TBH I’d rather they give Charlie the weekend off to get him right, and Cowan should play a half a VFL game at most.

This is perhaps a touch sadistic to mention, however… barring catastrophe, our post bye week injury list will be:

Cottrell - Test
Williams - Test
Cowan - Test
Newman - TBC
Smith - Season
Kemp - Season

42 out of 45 up and going.

Sorry.

37 of our listed players have played so far this year.
Talk about testing your depth.

How many did we use last year - have to be around the same.

So we changed the fitness bloke and that was gonna fix everything yet here we are again . I think they need to have another good look at things . Year in , year out , same old thing .

We need to delist another 5 injured players Mick.
Maybe even get some key players traded out for picks so we can have more draftee's or VFL listed players and then whinge about our depth......... :garthp:

We have trashed Buttifant and Russell's names . Who's next ? every Club has a bad trot with injuries at some stage but we somehow seem to be in a continuous and never ending injury malaise . It go's on and on and never ends . Its frucking bullshit and is giving me the shits . Its like there is a secret cover up to protect the real culprits our hopeless medicos .

I'll keep banging on about this............the game has changed and our trading and drafting has not.
We are too slow and lack skill, fix this and we go a long way to fixing our injury woes.

I forgot . It was the surface at Princes Park wasn't it . That got the blame . The resurfaced it so that's going well too .

we still largely have the same consultants and specialists at the club as at the turn of the century... they're there not bcos they're industry leaders, or cutting edge. but bcos they're friends of friends and have their seats stamped and paid for on the gravy train.

...hence our 20 year old protocols for treating and managing hamstrings.

they gravy train & nepotism at carlton has been killing us since the elliot days, and nothing has changed. we keep papering over the cracks with new coaches and various staff (like S & C), but until we dig deeper and cut out the bad stuff deep down on the bones, we will essentially be running in mud - like we have since the 1995 gf.

in saying that, voss cannot coach. he can motivate and would make one helluva line coach. but he's not HC material, and i think wright knows this too.

Think we won't see Lewis Young for a while, knee just gave way when he tried to turn

Edit: they're now saying ankle

Either way he doesn’t seem much hope for Thursday night.

Another week for Saad & Silvagni.
Ruled a line through Newman.
Lewis Young out for at least a month.

Williams & O’Keeffe both available.

We are what we call scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I think we will have 15 unavailable this week: where's L.Young, O'Keefe, Cincotta...

Let me guess who hasn't been used and still standing:

19yo Charleson
19yo L.Campo
20yo Wilson
20yo Binns

20yo Monohan (Irish)
21yo Duffy (Irish)

Flynn Young and Evans are a test.

Try coaching with that much pressure from underneath.

No one wants to know about our injury list this year: its a disaster: on par with 2024 and 2002.

Haven't heard or seen anything of Lewis Young since he rolled his ankle in the VFL.

What are these rumours doing the rounds Charlie won't play for the rest of the year?
