The Blues could either use De Koning forward and recall experienced ruck Marc Pittonet against All-Australian hopeful Tristan Xerri this weekend, while uncapped youngster Harry Lemmey is also a chance to earn his AFL debut.

Carlton haven't lost a game with less than 8 injured, and haven't won a game with more than 8 injured.

This week we will have 9 out injured.

Just saying.

Losing all these big forwards reminds me of 2022 losing all our big backmen
We know how that ended....missed Finals by 0.6% (that's why percentage should be fresh in our minds)

Jones retired refusing vaccination before rnd 1
Marchbank injured before rnd 1

McDonald back injury rnd 2
McGovern does his calf

Young gets his chance

Young injures his shoulder rnd 9

Kemp gets his chance
Plowman makes his way back into team

He doesn’t seem to have much run at the moment especially going the other way…

So no McKay and no Curnow... oh and no HO'K either. If Lemmey doesn't get a game this week, he may as well just give up

Is that confirmed that Curnow is out? All the noise I've heard up till now was "awareness, should be OK".

I'd like to think Lem was already in for HOK and that L.Young will be the beneficiary if CC is also out.

I wouldn’t like to see Lemmey having to ruck against Xerri, or even their second ruck, he rarely rucks in the VFL. L Young is a logical replacement for HOK, Lemmey is a logical replacement for Charlie.

As others have pointed out, TDK could also replace HOK and Pitto replace TDK as first rick against Xerri.

Lemmey may eventually be a good second ruck option, but he’s not there yet.

Comben is out for the tin rattlers, so that evens up our lack of key forwards a bit

Curnow a test, Comben a test.

North at $4 is about the best value you could ever get in a H2H market. Their form since we belted them has been very respectable, and we've got some big outs. Not convinced they will win, but $4 is a pisstake

Cowan a test, I would bring him back via VFL in any case, but if he and Charlie are both available then we'll have 8 outs... I can't remember whether that's a guaranteed win or a guaranteed loss by the Bondi formula, so I'm putting 10 grand on a draw. Bye bye mortgage!

Our results when 8 on injured list as follows:

Lost to Bulldogs
Lost to Adelaide
Beat St Kilda

Hence we are guaranteed to win with less than 8, and have lost every game with more than 8 injured.

Lets hope Cowan id off the list, and rid us of the jinx, or is it just hoping it helps.
Don't know how it helps our AFL team if he plays VFL.

By the way, I'm counting Elijah as an injury, so if Cowan and Curnow are declared fit and there are no midweek surprises then I'm leaning towards 100% guaranteed bet your house on it WIN.

Injuries are a part of footy
You post like where unlucky
You plan for it
Won’t miss McKay
He has played one and half decent games this year
Binns was a more than adequate substitute from Walsh

Cazzeman
Very generous with our performance after quarter time
