I love Vossy. I don't want to lose him, but if I could get Adam Simpson to join us, whilst I'd like to have both brains, i don't think the soft salary cap will allow it even if 30% of the coach's salary is not part of the Soft Cap.

Would I move on Voss for Simpson? ie sack Voss? Lets see at the end of the season how we have performed over 24 rounds.

But if we don't make Finals without the players showing reason to keep Voss, I think so. Always have admired Simpson's character and admire his success as a coach.

Regardless of who coach is we need to add depth.

E Hollands may be a loss to footy so further dilutes our depth.

i've always liked simpson too. his coaching performance beating the pies in the GF in '18 was the best coaching i've ever seen

I like Simpson also, but I hope we wouldn't move Voss on for him.
His recent coaching record is not that flash, it's not like he went out on a high.
In fact if anything, he has shown he too is unable win games with injuries and poor team depth.
It's a tougher gig than some seem to think.

2021 - 10 wins - 9th
2022 - 2 wins - 17th
2023 - 3 wins - 18th
2024 -3 wins - 16th

I would really like it if he came on as a tactician/mentor for Voss though, it would be a great boost in the coaching box on game day.

Skills and motivation coaches.
Pay accomplished elite athletes from different sports to come in each week and motivate the playing group with stories of how they went about it, how they got through the tough times and how they changed to winning mindsets.

We have shown we can execute the game plan successfully, and importantly, from the get go. That's one reason I don't think the problem is Voss. Not saying its not assistants or line coach problem. I recall Clarkson had Hardwick, Beveridge, Yze, Ratten, Leon Cameron, and Adam Simpson types to feed off. Vossy has the tried and tested same crew who don't seem to move the needle much.

If not the Coach, and the assistants are not much chop, then its the players who are lacking something within imo. They lack the ....dare I say, desire to win. The winners edge. So it may well be all in the mind. No doubt having children like Charlie as leaders is part of the problem too.

I really like your creative solution. Variety, entertainment, inspiration and motivation. In this day and age of limited attention spans, your ideas would help.
