Boyd’s numbers in the 2s are kick-ins and deep sweeper stats. There are the occasional flashes of what we need, but only at a VFL level.

Will Hayes trains horses in Benalla during the week, but still finds more ball.

Now that Wilson has gone back, I think it’s only going to get harder for Boyd.

He’s at the mercy of the genius of Luke Power

Ease up Cru. Now you've got it in for Power, and Hayes doesnt play BP, he plays midfield.

I don't know what more you expect from Power who is basically coaching an Under 21 team and developing whatever Austin sends his way.

I rate Power.

Of Boyd's 37 possession, 10 were from kick ins. Lets not exaggerate his stats to degrade his performance. He wins his own ball, and he goes in harder than most in the VFL.

Point taken that he's not been returned to the team. I don't think he's a write off at all, and happy to see Carroll and Hollands a go back there, and don't blame coach selecting one of Docherty and Boyd to sit on a small forward in the backline.

Love the pressure on spots.

I am liking Voss and crew giving more youngsters a go this season. In feb/march I thought this season should be used to start refreshing the 23 by giving kids more of a chance. Good to see Voss and crew read my posts and trust me . I will cop the losses.

I don’t think they have had any other option. Our senior depth was delisted last year for kids.
Injuries and other issues to experienced players has left us with little experience to play.
It’s not a bad thing but this is what you get when you cut deep.
In a year the club was expecting to be challenging. That is my concern. Did they really think this through?

They know that the Bset 23 were formidable, but there never was going to be a Best 23 on the filed.

I think they know now, they cut back depth too much. Be interested to see what they do to improve that at the end of the year.

Mate, it’s not new. I haven’t changed my stance since he ‘unexpectedly’ took the job.

I was, and still am, prepared to accept that he’s a decent administrator, but he couldn’t train a rocking horse.

Also, the only 37 next to Boyd’s name is the one he wears on his back. I haven’t given up on him - I just can’t see where he fits in, if he’s not a challenge for the kids to get past.

Anything less than 100 points is unacceptable and no one has the right to be happy about it.

Going to the game tonight purely because I have a tradition of going with my scum supporting mate. Could not be less enthusiastic. Would genuinely rather stay home and work.

Far more interested in watching Jai Opetaia defend his world title later tonight. A few of our boys could do with a week training with him. Might learn a thing or two about mindset

Can I say our season has been shit because there are no match day threads. Continuing the pre match thread as a match day thread is @#$%&! up the universe.
