Wouldn’t you love to be a developing kid under Voss

He only played half a game in the VFL as he was on managed minutes.

Seems like we've decided to match their number of talls rather than throw in an extra one to drive home our advantage. We have 3 small forwards plus Cinc on the bench; I would replace one of them with HOK or L Young but whatever... we only have 5 or 6 outs so we will definitely win or Bondi is in big trouble!

Hopefully we play Cripps mainly as a fwd.

The only Reason why Motlop is selected ahead of Durdin is because Vossy likes to throw him in the middle at various stages....But this is no good reason.... Durdin can kick multiple Goals even when he is down, Motlop has done nothing in the Forward line!

Here is my Weather Forcast:

McGovern: A Hammy in the first 15 minutes
Williams: Calf blown up at half time
Fantasia: Unsighted due to heavy Fog
SOS: Can't feel my hands, its freezing Cold ( not injury related lol )
Curnow: Damn its Dark, Can't see anyone in Blue, better not run
Motlop: Untouchable due to his Ethnic background- even if it rains
Essendon* Cheer Squad chanting: Its Raining Goals, hallelujah
Mckay: I am sorry, I can't keep playing, my Brother is not here :(

Because he's one of the few players on our list who can kick the ball, run, carry and make good decisions.
It's a good selection.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Harry pull out. Wet weather, cold. To use a Synbadism, he'll be back under the doona.

Can’t drop Motlop guys. He is the poster boy for 2025 Carlton.

That was also two weeks ago.

Can you name a small fwd on our list who is clearly better than Fantasia?

Welcome back Cincotta and Fantasia to launch their 2025 campaign.
Great news.
Both moved well in vfl.
Time to unleash them.

Cowan and Newman soon…and pressure on spots is on.

Mots lucky imo, but probably playing to instruction.
I wonder if Fantasia and Mots are playing similar role.
I wonder which one would make way for Cottrell.

Flynn Young makes his bebut in Blue too.

Expecting a different looking team; a team that’s creative up and daring.
Stay connected. Show some patience. Goals.

We will either win this by 10 goals or lose by the obligatory 3 goals.

So we drop a goal kicking fwd in Durdin ahead of Motlop who is struggling.
We drop a kid HOF that showed lots of promise and keep playing McGovern who has been terrible.
The Voss mantra is to play your favourites.
Selection integrity = 0
Players gifted games at the expense of developing youth.

Developing youth is obviously viewed as conceding the season is done. Don’t expect selection integrity with Voss’ job on line

I wouldn't assume Elijah is available, also unsure on Cottrell.

Add Boyd to the list though.
Elijah will be serving the secret 6 weeks.

How Austin could bring him into the club knowing this was the case is unbelievable.

We would have been better off keeping one of the injury prone players

is this gossip or pretty broadly accepted as the truth? was he busted in WADA testing or just by the Club?

i went to see a fews blues players do an auskick kinda thing at MacLoud Footy club bc my friends have a very young kid in the club system*.

Lij, Cinc, HOF and one of the coaches were there. when i was walking out to the car park Lij and Cinc were looking for Ollie. told them he’d gone waking off to the other car park bc if just been there. i totally forgot Lij was having time out. he seemed up and about, a bit wired and dancing on a pin head if anything the way he does in interviews. it’s hard to tell, as someone who spent 50 years masking ADHD i know people can hide mental health issues same way they can mask neurodivergence traits, (by avoiding situations, high flying careers etc in case of neurodivergence).

would make sense if he is sanctioned by club. can’t see how WADA or AFL could be doing it without it being very f’ing obvious to players at every other club. anyhow if it is this i hope it’s a lesson to Lij and he gets no more chances. he’s letting the team down our HF line has been dismal of late. flowering dismal. surely Motlop goes to the twos for some form building and decision making drills. Cotts just got a second injury so won’t be seeing him for a few more weeks.

Orazio or Cinc could play a role at HF. Walshy doesn’t have the form ATM to be playing a HF role
running thru the middle as defensive run and outside receiver but in his 2023 Finals form he would nail it. Williams more pocket i think, doesn’t have the tank for HF and don*s HBs and Mids will need minding on their transition run out of our F50 if we try and play that territory game where they tease the fans with 15 minutes of potential goal scoring only to see the opposition kick three lazy fast transition goals on the fast break with Weiters left bobbleheading wondering what just happened.

it’s not like we are that hard to work out.

Parish has been named. is Setters playing? expect him to get 42 if he is. i’m really worried out mids are not clicking, i can’t even bring myself to watch the replay of Giants game. i try to watch the loses not just the wins on replay to figure out who’s good, who’s out of form and who’s getting very weird playing instructions (whole team sometimes, it’s like there’s an anti-decision and ball-killer spell cast on the whole team sometimes, only George Hewitt and sometimes Crippa seems to be immune in 2025!).

i listened on radio and even rode my bike during 2nd qtr and half time break to Marvel expecting to buy a ticket when got there but every time i nearly did Giants piled on goals so i rode home instead. was like there was kryptonite buried on the 50m arcs or something. our march winners all went to water.

* (his mum takes him to Blues games but he goes for pies bc his mates do, doesn’t want her to take him to pies games, good lad! smart!! he loves to play but hates to watch, a natural young carlton fan of the 2000s era! who would wanna watch this torturous juggling act of confusing plug a hole or open a bigger hole shit we dish up week in and week out unless playing Wect Coast of Nord)

Life is too short and nothing has or is changing.
Carlton respects is the way forward, who gives a flower about the footy. Not important within the club!!
We need an Elliott back to put the Carlton back in. Not going to happen.

Eliot was a revolting pig of a man. Successful, yeah sure, lots of pig head men have been success in a business sense. Alan Bond, Skase a similar types.

But the 1960s are calling you @SurreyBlue they want you back to sure up the counterrevolution and bring forward the neoliberal project with Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.

you are so, so very wrong to think that a bit of woke (which just autocorrected to wholeness, nice) and winning are oppositional to each other.

Richmond’s era of greatness (i still don’t get exactly how they pulled it off with that list) basically torched their patriarchy and patriarchal self absorbed club administrator in-fighting prior to their new era they could have established a new dominate era and winning culture if they hadn’t prepared the soil
first. removed the toxins and karmic death wishes from the soil in other words. They did it with a female president who was anything and everything but a John Elliott clone.

Collingwood modern era, similar, pissed off Eddie and his sycophantic, racist bogans made milyanaire mates. a family club that embraces difference. Made a home away from home for their Norm Smith medal winning champion, no easy task at all bloody minded footy club.

Don’t know much about Brisbane FC’s culture but Greg Swan is said to be a big part of it. don’t know what he did at Blues other than the trades and public domain stuff, but was streets ahead of Eliot.
