This is the type of game where Carlton capitulates.
The mental demons take over.

The last 2 weeks nothing on the line we 0-4 and some tipsters were picking North.

But this is different, win this and we are back in the hunt, we are a chance of playing finals,
Lose and with 16 games left and needing to win 11 or 12 of them to make finals it's season over

We are notoriously bad at these types of games

Every player coach supporter will be all doing the Math. There's a massive difference from 3 and 4 to 2 and 5 it is one of those must win games you just know they are most likely to lose.

You beauty SBM.

Predictable. Lets hope Weitering is fit.
Weitering is one player we can't replace like for like....unless its with Taylor or Andrews

Its a must win game not only for the numbers needed for Finals, but also for the fans nourishment and energy, for the belief the players, and momentum. If we win this one, our Membership drive will find a pulse too.

So important. I think the boys know what this game means and they look forward to the challenge to redeem themselves for the first 4 games (esp Tigers loss). I really liked the Cottrell interview touching on this.

We will win and then fall over when we play Collingwood in the last game of the H&A

Just watched the presser where Voss says we may play Curnow, McKay and Young up forward

... just changed my tip to Geelong

Hard to do when Young's not playing

On paper this is the strongest side we've fielded for some time.
Certainly no excuses this week considering the Cats only have a 6 day break following their epic match vs the Hawks.

He was just answering questions without giving away our final team earlier than needed

Cincotta on Stewart…any chance?

Stewart learned from that tag and heads to the midfield when tagged….and Cincotta would just follow him in there

buddy, cincotta wasn't overly impressive when he was fully fit. a little purple patch of about 5 games as a tagger is his claim to fame.

there's no way he comes straight back into the team, let alone a winning team.

if fit, the same 22 that rolled out on friday should all get a gig again and see if they can double-down .

I'm not your buddy, guy

it's the exact kind of move voss has historically made - not sticking with a winning 22 and a formula of "small ball" and shovelling talls with no tank, movement or desire into the fray. and in all of those games, he's won just once in three years.

it's impossible to trust voss. he will always stubbornly revert to his way of playing despite what the data and metrics say about the game.

Small ball fumbled it’s way to an 0-4 start, then played the worst two teams in the comp.

still ... i'd be rewarding that same 22 Vs the cats.

since durdin and white have been added, williams has been unlocked & it's all looked viable. even tho it was only north, 150pts was pretty clinical and showed the potential.

let's hope harry doesn't drop another heartless deuce and we lose bcos of it.

Yep Braithy. Hope Harry doesn’t look like a dear in headlights like he has looked so far.

Looking at someone’s face with that defeatist look can be a big Debby downer to the others.

It would be huge for him and Charlie to get some form together.

I am feeling edgy about this game for reasons listed above.

Damn this team for actually winning some games (I know, shit oppo) and getting me a bit interested again.

So nervous this morning.
I hope it’s a nice arvo for footy in Melbourne.

Holmes and Bailey are the two in my thoughts.

Harry and Charlie to finally play together
Otherwise, same team as last week.

I have been happy with most of our games and game plan, and believe our form kicked has kicked in
Today will tell me more. Please win today.

Go Baggers

Geelong have a debutant, pencil him in for 3 goals.
