It's my 60th birthday today.
When I booked a seat for this game back in Feb, I was expecting we'd be 3-0 and it would be a W tonight to really make my day.
I'm still hoping for a win tonight.
Go Blues!

I sent my seats back earlier in the week.

I'm only 46.

When I'm 60 I'll go!

Happy birthday - hope we get it done for you.

If I was the list manager, I'd suggest to Doc it's the perfect time for him to step away from footy. 80k at the G against the old foe. Peter McCallum Cup. A cause close to his heart.
Our wings were terrible last week and Doc was in no mans land too often when playing wing. 13 disposals with 5 turnovers against the Hawks, he was lucky to get a game last week IMHO. Averaging 14 disposals at less can 62% efficiency in 3 games this year. Nowhere near enough. He may have the occasional decent game but he's just filling a spot at best. Give the game time to a kid.
I'm not a fan of Binns but we need to see if he's up to it.

Young to play a defensive role on Moore. He's been playing a vital role and deserves credit for it. A big game for Motlop. He's on the edges but tries to do too much on the rare time he gets the pill. Turns into trouble when he has a handball option, taking on 2 players, trying to kick the miracle goal. Just do the team things.

The back line will be interesting. Jack has been named forward but he's the perfect match up for Mihocek. Do they get Frampton to play a defensive role on Weiters? McGovern will probably take Elliott. I wouldn't be surprised to see Walsh spend more time on the wing this week. We need something there. Our wings are currently a liability and Ollie isn't the answer. He was playing well in defence. Leave him there. Maybe Bobby Hill?

Hopefully White isn't the sub.

With any luck, O'Keefe, Durdin and Carroll play VFL and play well.

At Carlton, he will most likely be a Dud. VFL Standards at best! :banghead: :banghead:

So Harry can play in a VFL scratch match last weekend but can’t find it in himself to help his teammates and his coach who have their backs against the wall.

@#$%&! me we have become a weak society. Reckon they had mental health days on the western front?

All for some compassion and understanding in difficult times but it’s gone way too far. What ever happened to resilience? You’re getting paid $1m a year living a very privileged life. GET ON WITH IT

Since the day he was drafted.

I've seen glimpses, and a bit of luck go his way, and making his luck.

I think his game against Demons in the Final was his best, with those 2 goals. One crazy boomerang from boundary (we know how they end when they don't come off...last week with Evans on his own....)

I think that Finals game has masked his deficiencies.

He's only young and not his fault he's been gifted games when not ready.

I agree

I guess they have their reasons. Maybe Boydy didnt execute his instructions well enough????

But his disposal was great and something most don't have in our team....didn't last week

Sad about Doc. I have blue coloured glasses on, but his output hasn't been good this year. I thought it was just round 1 jitters v Tigers. He's been fumbly last 2 weeks too. He's playing, so I hope he puts his stamp on this game. He owes us.

Lovin the Young-Moore idea.

Frampton selected because McInnes injured, but also because Fly expected Harry to play. He takes Charlie?? They have a tall backline against our selected forwards

I prefer Haynes over Gov. Selected teams makes me think Haynes is sub, SOS goes back and Gov is IC...or...he goes forward.

If Walshy goes onto a wing, we need midfield rotations. Expect Lord and Doc to help in there. Maybe Williams and Motlop too, and when that happens, we will need White as a quick small forward.

Its another 50-50 game, we should win.

Had brekky with an AFL sports psych this morning. FMD nearly got sun burnt.

Spoke about Harry.

Typically, I was facetious about the negative impact the psychs are having on him, telling Harry its OK to want to get away from, and not have to face, the criticism.

He said, if what we are going to get from him is what we got from him against the Tigers, do we really want him playing?

I responded

"That's not an answer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets get back onto the Psych. Maybe its his/ her fault he's gone so soft"
