Statistically I see where you're coming from Bondi but watching at least 6 other teams this past few weeks tells me we are miles off.

I want it to be as simple as hitting a target here and there but missing targets and making poor decisions seems ingrained and incredibly hard to change. That's the easy stuff.

The mental composure and pressure execution is miles off when you compare us to Brisbane, Hawthorn, Adelaide etc

Every game is different.
A different set of challenge for both teams going head to head.

Hawks and Footscary are both Finals contenders, one Flaf fave, and if you think about the number of 12 point goals we have given away, we are right in it, and we will improve our decision making. Even Walshy was holding onto the ball a little longer last game. It is as simple as hitting targets, if your just talking about the 4 points and not what others are doing.

That kick from walsh to Curnow (free at the back) landed 10m short. We missed a opportunity for Curnow to run into an open goal, instead they took it to their forwadline and bang a goal. 12 point turnaround. Happened 5 times vs Hawks and 4 times vs Doggies. WE are not that far off.

Question is, will better users of the ball help us? Players like Elijah, Fantasia, Cincotta, Newman, Cincotta....or kids like Wilson, Carroll and White? The first 2 are imminent, Cincotta in 4-5 weeks, and Newman maybe round 17-18. As for the kids, maybe one will break into the team.

Point is, they replace bottom 6.(I'm not naming them)

Furthermore, if you look at the 12 point goals last week it was experienced players who can steady up and concentrate more on their disposal like Walsh, Acres (maybe), Cottrell, Doc (vs Tigers).

Kennedy was pretty good kicking favourably to contested leads into the F50

I thought he was rated dead last in the comp last year on that metric? Either him or Walsh, I forget :D

Yep.

His photo featured in the report

It's funny that the consensus both here and externally is that MK tore us a new one on Friday because during the game I noticed him shanking a number of kicks into F50 and thought "thank God he's Carlton boy". But I guess I was looking for it because I remembered last year's stats, and overlooked all the times he scored or contributed to a goal :banghead:

Happy for Kennedy to do well.
Happy he wasn't booed.

I dont think we lost because of Kennedy. He did shank a few. He also sent an amazing 40m pass to hit a team mate on the tit. The only player he would have replaced last week if playing for Carlton would be Evans, but if Elijah, Cincotta, Fantasia were available, he may not have been on the ground for us. imo

Kennedy is the epitome of moneyball

Would be costing the dogs very little. His output outstrips his cost.

I have no problem with us parting ways, I just wish we could find some quality moneyball picks.

On the surface that's what Elijah is but there's reasons for that...

Hewett is great moneyball for us.

But we don't have many players that play above their pay grade.

I don’t think we have many actually playing at their pay grade at the moment.

What five things did you achieve last week?

1. Fumbled when under no pressure.
2. Kicked out on the full.
3. Fell over for no apparent reason.
4. Took the wrong option going inside the forward 50.
5. Sorry, I can’t count that high.
