There could be a family issue. Both Ben and Harry have never been this bad or mysteriously not showing up.
Hopefully they pull it together. Particularly Harry.

That's the trouble when you accept big money deals. Clubs and fans expect you to perform to a high level if you're taking top dollar.
A lot of scrutiny comes with the benefits.

That was a bad list management / salary cap decision by *
They have paid through the nose for a player that just isn’t in that class.

CARLTON forward Harry McKay has been ruled out of tomorrow’s night game against the Western Bulldogs.

Following Thursday night’s game against Hawthorn, the forward was then absent from the Club for a number of days due to personal reasons.

He returned to the Club on Wednesday and was able to train with teammates, however the 27-year-old’s wellbeing remains a focus as he continues to work through a personal matter.

The Club is providing the appropriate support to McKay, with his availability for Round 4 to be determined next week.

Congratulations to Austin for bringing this culture to the club

What is happening to this club? 2 players on personal leave in the space of a month ?

And other players not themselves too.

What have they been doing all pre-season ?

I dont know with this club anymore. 1st time in over 40 years that i feel like actually giving up. Its too upsetting to my mental health.

Holy crap, it's contagious. Now the fans are getting it!

In all seriousness, this sucks. Hope everyone is doing ok, players and fans alike.

I wanted to trade this lemon so badly this off season. Give Houston his salary and score another draft pick along the way.

We are cooked

Thanks for the clear messaging on this one too Carlton. Illness, quad, illness...

Ben's been terrible too, perhaps a family matter.

Club is in disarray

Has been for 25 years

Thankfully our finances appear to be okay

Otherwise, you would put a fork in us as a business

Not going to happen with Curnow and McKay. Both are getting towards end of career. Hard to believe but true.

Agree. These players should be on unpaid leave. They get paid a lot of money, and clubs are put out when they cant put their best players on the park.

Club is not doing us any favours as well by not being up front. I mean what do they think we are?

All they care about is memberships - its all we are to them.

McKay, Illness, now mental health. ?
Hollands. Most likely another strike from the rumours rather than mental health.

Just be upfront Carlton cmon.

Everyone from the club has shut down. We just hear the same rehearsed info.

We can only endure so much Carlton. We have given you record memberships etc. We turn up to games. But you dont give us the same respect. Players included. They sook it up. Just put your heads down and earn your money mate. And have some respect for yourselves, the club and us members.

The less I hear from the Club the better as far as I'm concerned . Just STFU and turn up on game day ready to go .

The problem is that, right now, they’re no good at that either
