Adam Simpson on SEN in the post match was struggling to hold back his frustration and all but said what every nuff is thinking - wtf are our coach and his assistants DOING?!

He even said he had to restrain himself. It wasn’t a Kane Cornes style takedown, it was genuine perplexity from him.

Says it all. It is infuriating and it’s not working. He has to @#$%&! go!!!!

I caught a bit of the Craig mcrae this is your life love fest with romping.

It went something like, the moment you are head coach everyone listens to you, as an assistant you have a voice but not always heard. While he doesn't have to do everything and trusts his assistants, overall he has oversight.

To me this clearly means that if your head coach is not up to it than you are stuffed ( not saying that about voss just yet)

He also talked about winning deep and having your cup filled. We seem completely soulless at the moment

The weird thing is that as terrible as our system seems to be, straight kicking at goal would see at least one of these games flipped.

I would take Simpson here in a heartbeat. He’d have this list at least performing to its best. Somewhere around 6-8th… no more.

We should be signing him up as Voss's #2.
He needs mature experienced heads to bounce off.
It's what they did for McRae with Leppa with Bolton.

Nah mick. There is no chance under Voss we get finals this year. The high water mark was 2023 prelim, up 5 goals.

Things have melted away since then. We’re shaving years off the careers of our players under this bash and crash gameplan.

Come on Braithy , don't give it away this early mate . Couple of new kids in with a bit of dash might just make a difference .

lol … where are these kids from?

I’ve never liked or enjoyed or thought it would be successful or sustainable- the Voss brand of mauling football. 2023 finals was one he’ll of a ride and wayyyy more than I thought we’d ever get to experience.

But we are falling further behind the pack under Voss. And I hate that

Hard to disagree.

Do you think the players enjoy getting bashed every week?

The audacity of this stubborn prick to look straight down the lens in his presser and dismiss the question about Curnow and declare that he “played his role”.

Just go. Out of your depth.

Or that he insists we’re “running out games just fine”

When we go whole qtrs and halves goalless and toothless with literally nobody running. It’s maddening

I am still holding out for Voss, but more so I am sick of changing coaches every 2-3 years.
We need some stability.

However, I really think we need to add some support for him and having another senior coach on the books will not only give him someone to bounce off and challenge his theories and decisions but it will also give his decisions more strength around the club.

I would really like to know who has the final say in player acquisitions, that to me is the first question that needs to be answered.

Because although Voss was the bull at the Lions, playing the Cripps role, he had Akermanis, Black and Caracella who were all fast outside runners IIRC.
He knows we need running hand ball chains, great foot delivery into the F50 and mids kicking running goals.
So with this in mind, why haven't we got players in the team that can do this?
Especially as other clubs seem to be adding these kinds of player all the time.

Adding Jagga to an unbalanced midfield like we have is putting all your eggs in one basket IMO.
That is what you do when your senior players are getting to the end of their careers and you need to keep the structure going with a like for like or you are just starting to build your midfield, like we did with Cripps and Walsh.
Unfortunately Jagga is not there to replace anyone, he's one of the key pieces we are missing.
And is why he is such a huge loss this season.

I think the large contracts to key players, the change in the type of players needed for the games evolution, the hope that some players will grow into these roles and the pure delusion of what some players are actually good at is the reason we are having the issues we've seen. Even when we were winning games you could see cracks as it was all hinged on certain core players playing a very specific role set for them as an individual not as a set structure of the whole team.
You could say this is 100% coaching and it might well be but it could also be maximising on the pieces you have not what you need.

I think we need to stay the course with Voss, get him some support and if he doesn't have final say on players give him the rope to do so.
As what we are doing at the moment is not working.

Our saving grace - wright sorts out the mess.

Also one of the big 6 contracted players is cut adrift. Free up SC and get a 1st rounder in. Harry see you later!

After watching our Magoo's last night that's a good question . Jeez they were lack lustre . Boyd was the only one that put his hand up . Binns wasn't bad . Moir , Lemmey , and Wilson did nothing despite a great opportunity to press there claims .

I didn't realise Bolton was at the Aints.
If it's good enough for Lyon it should be good enough for Voss.
Get Simpson, get him some support.
