Our tackling in general is still rubbish. None stick.

i think ive had enough of this club. pay a fortune to attend games, pay a fortune for parking, pay a small fortune to go out for dinner before the game ...

to witness that game, after so long of a wait, was beyond dissappointing ..

abit lost for words to be honest.

credit to richmond, i thought they where excellent. there effort was superb and just continously but as under pressure and we folded like a pack of cards ... up there as one of the worst performances for a very long time.

deflating.

That's up there with the worst home and away loss since I've been going since 1967. I'm lost for words.

This @#$%&! club has taken us to some very, very dark places. But tonight takes the cake.

Season over after one game. It was that bad. Insipid, embarrassing.

Voss can’t coach.

Sums up tonight perfectly.

I think I'm going to sign off for the night but it would be remiss to not be dumbfounded that condom head with his wannabe flying doormat headband was not beat to shit.

Also, Richmond just won their gf, and its the usual carlton are a really good side etc. I don't think anyone would begrudge them saying carlton can stick it up their jumpet.

There is something culturally amiss with this club.

We all talk about coaching and individual players and recruiting and the administration and everything else but every club gets things right and wrong in all those areas every year.

There’s something really not right underneath all of that and I’m struggling to understand what it is.

Jake Niall just did a three day hatchet job on the club in The Age leading into tonight and nobody here (including me) made any comment about it.

We are so @#$%&! timid.

It’s like the reaction to the hubris of the Elliott years was to dial up the timidity.

I think we need cauliflower.

Inject three Toby Greene type characters into the side and see what happens.

At the moment every time things go against us we lay down.

I want to see Dominator levels of love for the club and the team.

Outside of that I’ve got nothing.

Pretty much the same with me Eric. Been going since the mid 60's but tonight was abysmal. I really can't see any improvement this year because the depth isn't there. I've said it before but a quality CHB to help Weiters is a must. One or 2 small/quick/smart half forwards should also be on the shopping list. We may have to trade a big name or 2 to achieve that.

Our last two games we gave Brisbane a 60 point start eventually premiers and gave up a 41 point to the wooden spooners.
The team is full of girlie men.
They are mentally and physically weak
Austin has had 4 years to address this and so has Vossy
You just know as soon as a team kicks 2 to 3 unanswered goals They are gone.
You can hear the wind whistle through the cheeks of their arses.

Those worrying about trading first round pick we will get good compo for TDK and I would not be surprised if Cripps wanted to head home

But don't expect Austin to pick anyone good.
Hawks will line up tomorrow with 10 players from other clubs all who fill a need.

Who has Austin brought in
Lewis Young soft as butter
Haynes old and fumble fingers
Acres who tries hard but his disposal is woeful
Cerra soft and picks and chooses
E. Holland dumbest recruit ever and they knew his problems
Lord terrible skills
Orazio old and injury prone
2 Irish players who are miles off
Evans at his 3rd club
1 quarter Cowan
Panic merchant Ollie
Motlop just rubbish
Moir miles off it
Lemmey clueless
Wilson miles off it
Binns too small

How can anyone defend these selections
How can anyone coach these selections

And he let go Owies and Kennedy at least they had passion and vigor.

Tonight confirmed that GWS went completely half assed in that practice match.

The Austin comments makes you want to cry ...... some crap selections there (Jagga aside) especially this year but losing Owies and Kennedy for who replaced them is nuts

I said in the matchday thread that this is the worst loss in the history of the club and I stand by it. We've served up some insipid shit in the last 30 years, but this is next level. Hawthorn are going to do nasty things to us next week.

I don't care what anyone tells me, Voss is a dead man walking after tonight. It would take a miracle to turn it around.

Put a line through us for the next decade. We've traded away our draft picks just before the draft becomes a compromised mess once again. We have a list of overpaid overrated "superstars" who have all peaked and weren't good enough. The rest of the list has now been filled with pea hearts and hacks that couldn't make it at other clubs. We have a coach that has failed before and is doing it again. He fails to understand the modern game. The window is shut and it never really even opened.

The first thing we should do is let TDK walk. You don't blow huge money on a ruckman. EVER. Look at the Pies with Grundy. Learn from past mistakes. AT least it gets us back into the first round with what has every chance of being a top 5 pick. We should have let McKay walk, but we didn't. Now we're stuck with him and he is a pea heart with no desire or will to succeed. McGovern should have been let go 2 years ago when his contract expired. Likewise Williams. Doc has stayed on the list because we feel sorry for him. Then the recruitment of Haynes and Evans is sickening.

This has 2002 feels. Except instead of the AFL taking our draft picks, we've freely given them away.

Depressed.

Seriously, WTF was that?

Anything can happen in a long season, as Brizzie showed last year, but that performance is hard to get past.

Is it truly possible for a season to end before it begins?

Richmond were wooden spooners and lost many of their better players to the west. And they have a bunch of injuries to very good players including Prestia. They are as weak as one can imagine. We expected an easy win and shot out to a comfortable lead as expected then completely relaxed thinking it was done. As often happens they got on a roll, momentum and confidence builds, and they ran over us. I still thought we’d win but our tactics in trying to rescue it back were pathetic. Panic throw it on your boot and bomb it long to a pack and let them run it out.. I thought we were well passed that shit.

Saw that plodder Evans making mistake after mistake in Rhyss coveted jumper 26 and I thought this bloke and bunch of others are miles off AFL standard. How did it come to this
