Good line up but probably one or two lumbery players in the back half could make way for some dash.

below average players that we need to move on from, motlop need a kicking at the very least

Where is Moir at with his development if Evans has been at the club for 20 minutes and is picked ahead of him?

I would think Evans is in as a like for like with Fantasia - Moir isn’t a pressure forward at this stage

People criticising Acres have very short memories.

Learning the role and fitness.

Like Motlop last year. It was wrongly reported that he was 'out oif form' he was in the twos while he learned Owies role. Voss is all about playing your role. He has 2-3 players who play the same role. He wants the team to work like a computer. If your RAM dies, you replace it with healthy RAM of the same type.

Guessing Jack to play second ruck with Haynes the back up KPD

Good suggestion. McKay in the ruck otherwise. I do not like that. Not against Nankervis in the ruck.

Nankervis vs Tom De Koning :fight:

I'm thinking about the chop out, not the Nankervis variety, but with no Young. So, Jack it is.

There was a hint of that by Vossy when commenting in his midweek presser, on SOS' return and the versatility that comes with him in terms of team options [in the ruck]

Good luck Franky Evans.
Didn't see that selection coming. :sly:

Fogarty and Evans bringing on the pressure in the forwardline.
I expect one to be sub, Evans for mine. Maybe 2 play. That's a lot of pressure at ground level.

Ah, so we have the nervous wait to see the team, and then the nervous wait to see if there's any late changes.

So, business as usual then.

And then the nervous pre first bounce wait. The nervous quarter time break. Nervous half time break. And nervous three quarter time break.

that’s exactly how it is! I think I can count about 5 games in the last 10 years where I could unclench at 3/4 time and actually just enjoy a quarter of footy….

Wait till the real stuff starts.

I expect him to shank a few, and I accept that as a small part of a big package.

Based on one practice game where the opposition played bruised free footy

Beautifully put BM

Francis 6 preseasons vs Moir's 2. Might have something to do with it.

I watched Moir in a practise game vs Saints in hot windy conditions and thought he looked bigger and stronger, and he showed glimpses of good positioning, but his opponent had him covered most of the time. Moir was loose when it came to defense imo. May have something to do with fitness level to be in the best team in the land.

Moir's time will come.

I haven’t felt nervous at all about this game.
However, posters talking about being nervous is starting make me feel nervous

I'm looking forward to going tomorrow night. Our traditional Thursday night clash.

GO BLUES!. Smash 'em! We owe this mob.

Binns has his fans. He's a good long distance runner, and can cover the ground like Acres and Hollands can, but they have attributes more important than Binns in the team. That's what I suspect.

I like Binns on the list, but, for one, I don't like the chippy chippy kicking game he brings. We are past Wayne Brittain days. That's a bit harsh. I like the kid.

Every time I see him on TV I see that game, and live, it seemed that one of Lucas Camporale kicks is the equivalent of 3 of Binns. Campo punches the ball when he kicks and moves it long, quick. Binns is nowhere near that level.

That's being picky, but I don't know of many Binns fans outside of TC. The eye test for most, including MC, says Lucas is better for now.

I'm sure they are part of the turnover plan with their value in helping us win the next flag always on the mind of coach and list manager. Salary cap pressure too.
