It’s a long season
The fact is we need to see an improvement on last year
This is Voss’ 4 th year
We were too easily scored against last year
You simply have to be in the top half dozen defensively to have any chance
That’s due to too many softies IMO
Over the course of of a full season they get found out
Personally I’m disappointed with the team we have fielded today
I would like to see Moir and Binns and Wilson given a real crack in the seniors to see what they can add

I agree with most of that but you cant really say we have too many "softies" and then bemoan Binns and Moir not being in the team. Neither have shown a real willingness to commit to the hard ball.
I like the balance of the team. Another tall defender and another ruck would have been nice with Harry being the solo key but we deal with what's available.

Carlton's father-son run won't stop with the Campos

Harry Dean, son of Peter, impressed yesterday as a tall option for the Murray Bushrangers & is in this year's draft.

Then there's 2026 No.1 chance Cody Walker. The son of Andrew was BOG for Bendigo yesterday & looks a star.

Funny how the posts complaining about Austin stopped after last weeks (meaningless) win against the Giants, lol.

Good luck to the AFL on that front.

2002 was a long time ago, and the fools running the Commission back then are long gone or dead.

The fools running the Commission today, are incompetent, and too nervous to make decisions.

I think the Carlton Academy is great - and the more we put into it, the more we’ll get out of it.

But… there were Hickmotts, Hoggs & at least one Whitnall that didn’t quite make it… not to mention we’re shooting about 40% on Silvagnis.

...and we missed with the Williams' and Bradleys. Its hit and miss. Its just a name made from sperm of a good stallion, a Bluebagger with their name on the locker.

We tried a Kerr....

Got a couple McKays in the AFLW and a Robertson...

I prefer the outlook much much more than our past FS returns. I agree the Carlton Academy is great

We have been screwed with the rule change and it was just in time, as they say.

They get rid of 2 players in their prime around about 26 years old in Kennedy and owies and replace them with a 33 year old defender who has on played about 5 games in 4 years and a small forward in the mid 20 who has played about 25 games in 7 years someone needs to held accountable to that is very ordinary trading and recruiting

Have no issue in moving Owies on, Kennedy on the other hand offers versatility that we could've used last night when we looked impotent going forward.

Neither of those two would have made any difference last night.

A positive of finishing in the bottom 6 means that we will get good FA compensation for TDK.
We should do what the Tigers did at the end of last year and look to trade any senior players with currency and do a full rebuild.
SOS did well in the 2015 draft but unfortunately too many misses afterwards with SPS, Dow, O'Brien, Setterfield, Stocker, Kemp and the McGovern trade. Time to start again and hopefully do it right this time.

No they didn't.

They were the reason we had 65 F50 entries.
They did their job. Where do you think all those entries came from?
Is that not enough for you?

The Tigers ran it out of defense too easily.
The smalls didn't get a touch on the Tigers small defenders running ball out and the Tigers young KPD's pushed Harry aside at will.

Simple as that.
