Newman was trying out for midfield.
I wonder when you have played all your career running one direction to suddenly have to work in both directions caused the injury.

Lucky we got Haynes and Houston would have been handy right now.

Injury list mounting up again

Next man in. Such is life in the AFL. With Haynes in and Doc back, plus plenty of kids, it can be covered.

Yes, it is disappointing for Nic and the Club, but if we a fair dinkum, we roll with it.

Well I guess I don’t have to stress in anticipation anymore.

Would love to go into a season fully healthy for once but at 32 we will have to learn to play without Newy at some point…
Everyone shuffles and maybe we get to see a bit of Billy Wilson.

Let’s hope so, because all I can think about re Wilson is that he’s not Joel Freijah.

Bit rough on the young man, but that’s footy.

FFS, same sh1t every year.
Place is cursed. At this point, I’m willing to sacrifice the president to the injury gods.

Exactly right. Terrible news for Nick but it could structurally it have been much worse for our list. At least we have plenty of developing cover in the small/medium defenders role.

We just can't catch a break.
He should be pretty well covered in defence, Ollie could take his spot if needed.
Midfield might be the area we lose out though, 2 down and not even February.
