Mate , when I started following the Blues in the early fifties there was no such thing as a CEO . It was Secretary and that was only part time . How footy has changed . All I know is in our glory years we had topline administrators and Presidents . Blokes who knew there onions . Nous I call it . As far as your question goes Muzz I can't answer but what I can say with certainty if you get good people into the joint we will go places . I got confidence in the current crop .

Is it just me or was Sayers a little bit too excited in that presser, a bit touchy feely with Cook and Wright?! A small thing, never mind.

All sounds good and it was interesting to see Cook taking notes at times while others were speaking. I'd love to know what he was writing down.

Wright spoke well and presents well, which is as much as I'll ever get to see to judge him. As long as he lives up to his reputation we should be in very good hands.

Touchy feely...I haven't seen that much touching in a presser before. Very visual.

The only catch I see is that Wright is untried as a CEO. Yes, he has a wealth of experience (and talent) in various other football dept administration roles, but he hasn't been the CEO of an AFL club before, and to my mind that is a step up into a vastly different role. Perhaps 12 months as Cook's protege will be the perfect tonic, who knows? I definitely like Wright's appointment, but if there is a catch, lack of experience would be it.

He will have 12 months tutoring and field experience before he starts.
