From what I saw of the Owies tackle, he pinned both arms and dragged him down in one motion rather than threw him forward with a second motion. If anything, to me, it seemed that Higgins threw his own head down. And clearly, he was able to continue playing - maybe, the argument is that he never would have nailed the match winning goal if he was fully conscious???
However, given the current environment, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets suspended. Not sure if that would be for one week or three.

I reckon billings was milking it with the head toss forward… just my opinion, I’m no bio-mechanist. Collingwood got thuglife off much worse for a Grand Final appearence he never should have made.
Speaking of which, when St Kilda were on the fast break that lead to the Phillipou behind in the final quater, Wanganeen Milera was running at one of our defenders (looked like Saad on the reply but no-idea really) and our defender jumped to prevent a forward handball (which rarely works, players a too well practiced at that forward handball over) and 5 seconds later Wanganeen Milera was running past the receiver of his HB and streamed into our D70 with an easy pass to Phillipou.
I’m not saying we should risk life-long injury or acquired brain injury to opposition players, but if he’d ran at Milera instead of a standing jump and connected enough to slow him down or stop him we outnumbered the HB receiver and would have won the ball back.
