Leek Aleer has an amazing leap and is athletic. So can play taller. Can provide dash and run too.

I hope its true that we are targeting him.

Interesting target. Charlie will be happy to be on the same side as him, but he has been patchy in other games I've seen him in (which is plenty, as a NSW channel 7 user). I thought the whole reason Haynes is available was because the likes of Leek were prioritised. I realise they're spoilt for depth at the back, but Leek is first drop. Perhaps they need the cap space or list spot in 2026.

I'd prefer Haynes if we're gunning for a flag in the next 2 years, but Leek is a decent long term prospect.

I think that's about right...the highlighted bit. No need for both at GWS.

He did really well on Charlie, so I guess he's tall enough for 194cm KPFs, but not on the likes of Hogan and Harry.

Being first drop and still under contract Leer wont be easy to get this year imo.
Haynes is 33 next year and out of contract; easy picking, IF he's keen to play for another team.

I think they both have played similar number AFL games this year. Leer obviously has the upside. Why would GWS let him go?

I'm guessing, Derksen is 194cm and same age as Leek could play both ends of the ground, but he hasn't played much in defense. Still can't see why GWS would let Leer go ... unless we cough up a 1st round pick for a player whose been in the system for 4 years.

Sorry to ruin all your dad jokes but 3AW is reporting Melbourne would only be open to discussions re Petracca with Carlton.

Following on, there's a post on BF which says we've made it known (in general) Harry's available for the right price.

holy shit. this is big news.

if we don't qualify for finals, or go 1-and-done, i could see us trading H for trac.

i've got nothing against H either ... i'm not sold on list management where we have two generational FF's taking up nearly 2mil of salary each season. imo we need a greater spread of the salary cap over more positions.

trac and H would be on similar money. him and cripps and walsh/ cerra with TDK would a generational midfield, imo.

nah. gawn getting on, and they don't have the midfield to run with teams. their backline looked gettable this season too.

they'd be helping us win the flag.
