That a bit harsh Bluewave. We travelled to Perth with virtually 3, 1st gamers. Plenty of our top tier players out. Hardly anyone to choose from. We lost Durdin, MGovern during the game too.

WC came to play at one of the hardest grounds in Geelong, against a full side with plenty to play for.

I think we did very well with the personnel we had.

You are right ... just upset with the way the season has gone. Hoping for the best ... but just dont feel optimistic at all ... hope I am wrong.

How far south qualifies as bayside ? does Frankston count ? speaking of Frankston they came from 5 goals down in the last quarter to knock off Goldie in Goldie . Steven Milne's kid Tyson kicked the sealer from sixty out to win the game . Remarkable win up there .

I see the ruck for Frankston Angus Grant (200cm 22or23yo) beat Ben Moyle of GC in hit outs 41 to 19. Can't see much about him but seems he was with the Carlton College of Sport or whatever that was a few years ago and had being playing VAFA before Frankston.

Yes indeed Jezza he was with us . Covid struck and that was it . Bad timing . Hopefully our recruitment team are monitoring him . Played out of his skin today .

We were all pretty anxious in the lead up to west coast & the boys didn't let us down that day. What I liked was how switched on we looked over 4 quarters. I think they'll bring that tomorrow.

I reckon just try to sit back & leave it up to the footy gods from here.

And Port

I'm very relaxed
I'm just anxious about whether I can get a ticket to our Elimination Final.
Go Blues!

I'm sure St Blunder will be fired up to begin with. But when you've got nothing else to play for I wonder how long they'll keep it up.

Yes and dropping 2 places in the draft is a bit of a disincentive especially with the Josh Battle compensation likely to be affected. Furthermore I suspect Ross Lyon wouldn't want to do Freo any favours.

Shitting bricks.

Desperately want to play finals. Clearly prefer us winning but if it is via Port winning I’ll take it.

Good morning Baggers.
Nerves aplenty in our household.

I was calm last week, and relatively calm today, till the kids came upstairs to share their feelings.

Reckoning day.

Today shapes our season. Its not a good situation, but an opportunity I'm grateful for.

Just win FFS. We wont be making up the numbers. We will get great players back from rest.
Flag is anyone's who can play fantastic footy for the month of September.
Just win today!!!

I liked what I saw from Cripps Hewett combo last week. Blocking and linking.
I think Crippa will want to link up with any player presenting a good option.
That suits a smaller more mobile team, which we have today. Run bluey run.

I am going today.
I am feeling a bit nervous, we really should not be in this position but here we are.
Ideally GWS win, we win and Freo win. I think that way we will play Hawthorn (is that right?)
Anyway hoping for a win otherwise it will have been a waste of a season.
Go blues.

If we win/ GWS win and Freo win we play the Hawks.
If we win/ Bulldogs win, Freo game is a dead rubber for us. We play Lions.
If we win/ GWS win and Freo loose, we play Lions unless we spank saints by a thousand and GWS spank Dogs by a thousand.

So if we win most likely scenario is an away final v Lions.
If we loose, Freo must loose as well for us to play finals. In that case it's an away final v Lions. Almost all roads are leading to the Gabba provided we get the job done.

Bedford Daniels and another player a late out for GWS. Wow.

It’s all on us.

I'd love to make it & also see the bulldogs out.

Not a doggies hater but a couple of their supporters were dicks to me in 22

Bedford and Daniels both late outs for GWS.Playing Hawks option is even more unlikely now. Giants won't travel finishing 4th so it's now almost a dead rubber for them.

That game isn't as crucial as it was before the game at Geelong yesterday.

Now that geelong are nearly level with port on %, port are going to be going all out to win regardless of GWS position.

Although it'd still be better if dogs lose, if you'd prefer us to play haw than bris. Which I'm in two minds about

They'd still be at more of an advantage finishing second & hosting a visiting team. They've still got plenty of skin in this game

Those late outs for GWS are bad news. Daniels was incredible last week, the best small forward performance in the league this season, by a distance. I think daggs is right, they've decided they'd rather finish 4th and play in Sydney, or at least they're willing to settle for that rather than risk a Port trip if the latter wins.

I'd much rather face a Hawks rematch than a Gabba trip. Their young upstarts could tighten up in the finals cauldron, whereas Brisbane have experience and a major home ground advantage.

I'll miss the start of our game through kids' swimming lessons, which is probably a good thing.
