So someone's coming out of the 23 for Fantasia then.

How far south qualifies as bayside ? does Frankston count ? speaking of Frankston they came from 5 goals down in the last quarter to knock off Goldie in Goldie . Steven Milne's kid Tyson kicked the sealer from sixty out to win the game . Remarkable win up there .

Said Durdin is a risk but what can we do.

Seemed to have belief that if we make it anything is possible.... My interpretation

And what was his reply?

I’ve been working away at home all day and the only thing that keeps coming into my mind; ‘I cannot believe were we where this year, that it comes down to the last game if we play finals or not’. Just disappointing and disheartening.

Let’s see what we are made off - we tend to say that often with this group though.

I don't recall TDK being mentioned.

I sensed some frustration with our current situation, plus he was buying a lottery ticket which makes me nervous

if we get through there will be plenty that will love and need the week off. Crippa, Walshy, Gov, Acres and Weits sure need a spell.

Surely we need some luck and can escape with no injuries on Sunday.

The Geelong WC game just highlights how bad WC is and just how overrated our performance was last week. We will get slaughtered by the Saints.

That a bit harsh Bluewave. We travelled to Perth with virtually 3, 1st gamers. Plenty of our top tier players out. Hardly anyone to choose from. We lost Durdin, MGovern during the game too.

WC came to play at one of the hardest grounds in Geelong, against a full side with plenty to play for.

I think we did very well with the personnel we had.

Bayside council.
I'd exclude Brighton and Hampton if I could

So far this round teams with nothing to play for have been flogged.
Let's hope that the same thing happens tomorrow

I see the ruck for Frankston Angus Grant (200cm 22or23yo) beat Ben Moyle of GC in hit outs 41 to 19. Can't see much about him but seems he was with the Carlton College of Sport or whatever that was a few years ago and had being playing VAFA before Frankston.

I think we'll be right. I had a vision earlier that Ollie Hollands kicks the winning goal

Yeh but St Kilda are always jealous of Carlton and really work themselves up for these games. They have wanted to be us since the 80's. They love our sloppy seconds, they get a kick out of it.

They would love nothing more than to kick us out of the 8.

I hope we are up for this game and show more desperation as we have a lot to lose. They dont.

I hate that football club with a passion and would not even flinch if they and North melbourne folded. Wish they folded instead of Fitzroy.

Concur wholeheartedly.

Fitzroy fans hated losing even if they often expected it. Saints culture still feels like 'near enough is good enough, but wayhay! Nice to be smashing that Blue team! We might not need a bailout this year if we keep off the bottom. Whose shout is it?' (Harsh? Yeah, dunno, can't explain what's so damn annoying about them.)

Do the VFL players get a run at Marvel apart from GFs? I hope the senior players or someone gives some tips to the youngsters for adapting quickly to playing indoors there, e.g. the flight of the ball, the bounce, the lights, whatever...if it makes the slightest bit of difference.

We'll need all angles covered.

I think it was GreatEx who said they'll have studied last week's success. I want something similar to last week, but please have alternative plans ready to go. Some of the debutantes or close to it might have a 'second album' moment. As others have said, everyone has to be up for this, and I'm expecting the more senior players to lead the way, i.e. be less likely to drop off in performance. And yes, the coaching is crucial this week, just like the last. Get cracking, Vossy.

We are not done yet. Pretend we're playing Melbourne. I don't care how we do it. In the words of the great C Montgomery Burns, just do it!

(Please.)

Yes Snap , basically you are saying lightening doesn't strike in the same place twice . So , change it up coz what worked last week won't cut it this week . Tend to agree we need some new surprises this week .

You are right ... just upset with the way the season has gone. Hoping for the best ... but just dont feel optimistic at all ... hope I am wrong.
