Isn't this their last game in WA for the year as well so they'll be doing their farewell game for all those cauliflower who should have retired years ago.

Plus we won't have Curnow, Fogarty, Saad, Martin (lol whatever) at least.

Plus we're just shit.

Curnow, Fogarty, Martin, Saad will all be out.

McGovern and Boyd both doubtful.

Could be six forced changes.

In: Binns, Lord, Young, Carrol, C Durdin, Wilson.
Harry as well with his quad. Quad will end his season. So you can add Lemmey as well. We were chucking injured players back out so we could have at least one interchange. Think we had 49 for the game.

Mcgovern went down to the rooms didn't he? I don't think he'd be a certainty to play

The last time we won the final two games of the home and away season was 2004. Wow.

Even with injuries we are favourites with the betting agencies. Go figure.

Disappointing weekend but I like to see how our team responds to challenges. In past years, we didn't. Same with yesterday's game, once we were out of it, it was good to see who dropped their heads and who stood up. I'd suggest injury will save a couple of players from their spots being in jeopardy. But it shouldn't prevent a few being embarrassed by the replays. McGovern and Motlop firstly. Both failed the courage test on a couple of occasions. Not the first time for Mitch.

It's interesting. If you were to name 3 current Carlton players who you know would back into a pack knowing they were going to cop it, but still would do it, who would they be? For me, Cowan (This kid showed up a couple of our seasoned players yesterday by doing things they wouldn't), Kennedy (Never in doubt), Acres (perhaps too silly to recognise the danger) would be the first 3 I'd name. It's embarrassing that a kid in his second year is ahead of so many older players.

I'm looking forward to see how we structure up this week. Personally I'd play the captain up forward a lot more. I thought our midfield looked good the couple of times he wasn't there and his height/strength will be needed up forward if Charlie and Harry are out. Still give him stints in the middle but I'd give Matt Kennedy more responsibility there. He kicks the ball better, he's more mobile and he can rotate forward with Cripps.
Bring in the kid (Lord) and give him a run in the guts. Kennedy, Lord, Walsh starting combo with Cripps and Hewett rotating. I'd also bring Acres into the midfield rotation and put Binns on the wing. At least we know Acres will run defensively.

Young - Weitering - Wilson
Cowan - Kemp - Newman
Binns - Kennedy - O. Hollands
E.Hollands - McGovern - Williams
Owies - Cripps - Durdin
Pitto - Lord - Walsh

Acres - Cincotta -Hewett - Motlop
sub: Carroll

Out Boyd, Saad, Charlie, Harry, Martin

Quality post BV but, like you’ve noted, we don’t respond to challenges. This won’t be any different.

If there were ever a time to blood some kids, it's now. If Voss sticks with the same old players he has lost the plot

I reckon you should probably focus on women a little closer to your own age…

And we would also need the WBD and/or Freo to lose at least one game.

Watch both us and WBD win both and they keep us out on %, again....

Freo have the giants away this week - tough ask.

Then Port at home.

High chance they'll lose at least one.
There's always a chance the final round may not matter for ladder position for some teams though, so they phone it in.

Anyway moot point as I don't think we'll win again.

With 17 on our injury list the MC have no choice but to name more kids to add to the kids we are currently playing: Cowan 19, Hollands 19, and Motlop 21.

If we add Binns 19, Lord 19, Carroll 21, Wilson 19, Lemmey 20 we are no longer look anything that resembles a senior side.

Obviously can't add Moir because he's only 18? A child?

It is difficult to see optimism in our current plight, but we have to select to win games, and believe we can win.
We have to select our strongest team wo win in Perth and keep our season alive. Stuff this losing mentality.

Last year we had players out injured and beat Cats and GWS.
Players missing were Walsh, Hewett, Cottrell, Martin, Marchbank, Boyd, Williams, Kennedy Durdin Philp with LOB as sub.
Oh shit, that's only 10 out injured.

Hopefully in 4 weeks time we see TDK, Charlie, Harry, Cerra, Saad, Boyd all return. Maybe even Fog.

Come on Blues. Lets win in Perth.

You'll get to see the future of CFC live.

While getting torched by a bog ordinary WCE side amongst 50k of their finest.

Been there, done that. I was sitting in the Weagles members when Judd played his first game in Perth after the move. My (Eagles supporting) boss thought he was rewarding me by getting me a free ticket to the match.

We won that game didn’t we?

We well lost the game I attended, so maybe it was his second one in WA after the move.

Mirkov always gets heaps of taps in the VFL, but after the tap he becomes the invisible man around the ground, he makes Pittonet look like Koutafides in comparison for around the ground impact.

Its a big risk to select Mirkov imo, but.....

If Pitto is on one leg....we may not have a choice but to play Mirkov.

Some of the funniest things Ive seen that have cost us games in the VFL came from Mirkov in the ruck.
Well, its funny if you're the opposition.

I'd like to see what he's got, but really believe its suicide to select him. No strength whatsoever. Mids push him out.
I'm afraid what Reid would do to Mirkov.

YES 2 great rucks !!!

Pitto as the Fwd Ruck (Statue), and Mirkov as the goal post in the middle.

Pitto doesn't look to have recovered fully from that PCL he suffered against Darcy, and is now obviously a break glass option.

I've given up on perennially injured players. All of them.
