The problem is, that sets us up to be killed off by the Aints. And won't they just love that.

Yes.

And we would also need the WBD and/or Freo to lose at least one game.

Watch both us and WBD win both and they keep us out on %, again....

WA members and supporters have had to wait all year…….and couldn’t be more of a train wreck.

FMD.

Convinced we are cursed.

Freo have the giants away this week - tough ask.

Then Port at home.

High chance they'll lose at least one.

Disappointing weekend but I like to see how our team responds to challenges. In past years, we didn't. Same with yesterday's game, once we were out of it, it was good to see who dropped their heads and who stood up. I'd suggest injury will save a couple of players from their spots being in jeopardy. But it shouldn't prevent a few being embarrassed by the replays. McGovern and Motlop firstly. Both failed the courage test on a couple of occasions. Not the first time for Mitch.

It's interesting. If you were to name 3 current Carlton players who you know would back into a pack knowing they were going to cop it, but still would do it, who would they be? For me, Cowan (This kid showed up a couple of our seasoned players yesterday by doing things they wouldn't), Kennedy (Never in doubt), Acres (perhaps too silly to recognise the danger) would be the first 3 I'd name. It's embarrassing that a kid in his second year is ahead of so many older players.

I'm looking forward to see how we structure up this week. Personally I'd play the captain up forward a lot more. I thought our midfield looked good the couple of times he wasn't there and his height/strength will be needed up forward if Charlie and Harry are out. Still give him stints in the middle but I'd give Matt Kennedy more responsibility there. He kicks the ball better, he's more mobile and he can rotate forward with Cripps.
Bring in the kid (Lord) and give him a run in the guts. Kennedy, Lord, Walsh starting combo with Cripps and Hewett rotating. I'd also bring Acres into the midfield rotation and put Binns on the wing. At least we know Acres will run defensively.

Young - Weitering - Wilson
Cowan - Kemp - Newman
Binns - Kennedy - O. Hollands
E.Hollands - McGovern - Williams
Owies - Cripps - Durdin
Pitto - Lord - Walsh

Acres - Cincotta -Hewett - Motlop
sub: Carroll

Out Boyd, Saad, Charlie, Harry, Martin

Pretty good BV . Could we squeeze Lemmey in there ? he has been a bit better in the Magoo's last couple of weeks . Nothing special but not bad . I got a gut feeling Lemmey is one of those that is more suited to the higher level . Nothing to back it up , just a get feeling . Your thoughts BV. ?

32 players used in the last 6 rounds with only 13 playing all 6.
This will stretch to at least 35 this week and 11 players playing all 7.

Good luck with that trying to develop cohesion and synergy.

Is it any wonder our ball use is so bad and stoppages are terrible.

You would need some almighty list to cope with this

McGovern. Please take him out of the backline. I beg you.
Play him forward for the next two weeks then trade him for whatever we can get.

Yep.

Really wasn't good for team cohesion in the backline.

Too conditional.

Drop McGovern and play Lemmey.

I’d play Moir instead of Durdin who didn’t add much to the vfl team last week.

I never regarded him and never tried to hide it but when he abused Kempy after he himself, and he had no one else to blame but himself, for being soft at the very first contest in the square right in front of us, that was the straw that broke the camels back. Then of course he prceded to gift the opposition goals with his elite kicking and jump at shadows……

Been there, done that. I was sitting in the Weagles members when Judd played his first game in Perth after the move. My (Eagles supporting) boss thought he was rewarding me by getting me a free ticket to the match.
