are those Gatorade ads a piss take of Hansen that he knowingly participated in because he’s a good bloke who doesn’t know when the director is taking the piss?

Not sure if there is any truth to it but a poster on BF claims that Kreuzer got into the Fire Brigade and will be leaving at the end of the year.
Doesn't sound legit but you never know.

Kind of ironic that he's leaving the club in flaming ruins

It's not just Kruezer who'll be leaving. Voss will have some new assistants next year.

Does he have an upcoming court case?

What has Kruezer done? Let him go. We need to replace all the assistants. Kruezer has been there long enough.

TDK has improved greatly this year, showing some Kroozy tendencies. Does that count?

Done a great job with TDK . The follow up after the tap is very Kroon like I agree .

Kreuzer has done a great job with our rucks.

TDK is a lean athletic ruck, with a body akin to a KPF or KPD; not much of a tap ruck man who can hold his position like Kreuzer could.
Kreuzer has given him a useful weapon to give us ascendency at the stoppages, and that is to hunt the ball and rove on the ground.

That is a Kreuzer trait.

Pitto did the same when fit and his turn to ruck.

That's all Kreuze could do with these 2 rucks.

Facing charges of “conspiracy to render a midfield impotent”.

Considering we're the second highest scoring team in the AFL but have conceded the 4th most points doesn't scream "sack the forwards coach" to me but there you go.
I would have thought our midfield accountability and being atrocious at defending scores from stoppage was far more critical.

pretty wild. hard to argue with any of this. you watch the game and wonder what half the players are doing. one thing for sure ... coaches have been getting by on talent alone. no system, total confusion and defensively we're a basket case.

also interesting : even when we were up and about we were the 3rd worst ball movement side in the afl. this hasn't imporved since the ratten days, which is beyond crazy.

Hmm, so the team moved away from attacking the down the line which hasn’t been working for a month to trying to attack via switch which everyone says we should do more? Seems like common sense to me.

“Injuries had no impact before half time”, not sure which game these guys were watching?

Cincotta didn’t tag in the first half, he just played like a normal team member (backline defender I assume is what they meant), is this a revelation?

When Carlton were playing well the midfield was dominating, no shit Sherlock.

Not exactly deep analysis.

I haven't watched any of the game and don't intend to, but the narrative both in neutral and Carlton media was that injuries only really mattered in the final quarter... really? I thought we were three down at quarter time, lost Charlie in the 2nd, had Boyd hobbling around in a corner, Gov in the rooms? I know our misery is entertaining to all, but no team in the league avoids a thrashing in those circumstances. None.

i think he's spot on about the confusion.

from opening bounce, we pushed right up the field for that aggressive press, and the hawks got in behind us and scored an easy goal. and then another.

players look lost pushing up that high, they leave too much space on their man, to the point nobody knows who their actual man is when we predictably turn the pill over and the ball pings back into our D50 - hence the whol gov meltdown at kemp.

and then we suddenly look to be aggressive (with the season on the line) and use the corridor? nothing wrong with that, but from a coaching perspective why are we waiting until round 21, and we're almost in a sudden death situation before we use this?

confusion is right. coaching have laid a giant egg this season and parlay that with the horrendous HP department crucifying us. we're cooked.

and re concotta. we won 5 in a row with him playing a hard tag (his best role, and tbh ... its the only role for him at afl level) then inexplicably we play the giants and play him as a HB flanker, and he goes back to looking lost and his man gets away time and time again.

why do we change what works so much?

True, most of the guys were out in their feet with a couple of minutes to go before half time. Sure we were already behind and struggling but what it meant was that any third quarter comeback was going to be cut short. I remember the start of the third we made a big effort and had multiple fwd 50 entries but just couldn’t convert. We ended up kicking 1.1 to 4.5 in the third and were lucky the opposition were wasteful.

Interchanges were 17 to 18 in the second, 12 to 19 in the third and 7 to 16 in the fourth.
