Trying not to overreact to it. We looked miles off the oppo energy in the second half.

Bunch of players who had shockers can make way for some good ins next week. 8 day break. We sure as hell need it

it's conceivable we could miss the 8. wild!

i don't think we're a good team. so many losses this year have been the coaches box inability to counter the opposing coach after HT.

we look good, and then we don't respond to changes.

5 day break + Harry, TDK, Acres.

Very tired midfield. They got smashed. Cripps looked stuffed. Walsh 2 touches in the last QTR.

Still a very long way to go.

Cerra is an interesting one.

What's his role? Can he play midfield? If not, is he doing much from half back?

Is Jack Martin injured again? I am amused why he was never considered?? he would have been the perfect player to play 3rd tall and Stand tall.

1 GOAL for an entire 2nd half told the Story. We were out of legs. We couldn't recover from the 5 day break. :(

I'm as livid with that team performance as anyone, but having a go at a bloke for nailing a 35m set shot is just weird.

We do have an easy run home BUT Geez it does look hard now to keep 2nd Spot. We might not even finish top 4. :(

our defense isn't going to make noise in sept, mids not far behind ... that's if we even make it.

Yes we need a lot more from Cerra to take the pressure of Cripps and Walsh.

The way we're playing... we're the easy run home

We don't have an easy run home because we're suspect.
Teams know how to play against us and will always think they're a chance, confidence is a big thing.

nah ... not at all. pittonet just isn't it, hey.

young as the backup isn't good either. if harry plays maybe it's a different result. our mids are off the pace, defense is less than ordinary, and coaching doesn't adjust, apparently

I give us little chance of finishing top four. Playing like a bottom 6 team at the moment.

The modern game requires TEAM defence ALL over the ground. Not just the back 6 in one on one contests.

Our inability to defend all across the park has been exposed badly.

We aren't a top 4 team and never have been - we just need to make sure we don't capitulate out of the 8 again like in 2022 because I fear this group won't come back from that.

I thought Pitto competed well but it's glaring how we miss TDK's ability to grab it and pound the ball into our F50 while the 666 is still set. This is mainly due to our midfield being slow and muscled out of the game. Reckon TDK's been papering over the cracks with the likes of Walsh and Cerra not doing their jobs.

We must be in a hard training block. We play one good qtr most recent weeks then are just cooked. We've flogged sides in last qtrs with 5day breaks before.

How can we be so brilliant in one qtr and so putrid for the rest. Typical of Carlton, they kicked 3 pts in 5 min that could have put us in front then allow a goal to them straight after. So Carlton.

1.5 for half!!!!!

Because it’s a sport

Dump Coaching yet Again. Started at the Selection Table and then leaving McGovern in Defense when he should have been the 2nd Tall tonight! He must have Zero confidence in Young to be playing back!

There’s a pretty good argument that Young is neither of the things that he was asked to be tonight. However, the bloke played like it was a freebie.

It’s a pity. He came in like he was going to be an instant fix for the loss of Jones - defending like his life depended on it.

Bit of a milk drinker now.
