Or longer term we find someone else who can punch hut in the ruck mire effectively than H and can play a role somewhere else. The problem is you are not going to find a more athletic ruck than TDK but we have seen having him forward with Charlie and H is too cumbersome. Having your second ruck play as a key defender us an option given we are not tall down back but we don't have that player unless Young rediscovers his 2022 form which seems miles off. And we don't have a Blicavs type who could run on a wing and relief ruck.

After your first line, I couldn't help but read the rest in a New Zealander accent.

It reminded me a bit of the way Geelong defeated us in Rd 18 2022. Nothing spectacular, just a very professional win by a top side.

Ess threw everything at us just like we did to the cats that night

This is one of our biggest issues with JSoS missing. Charlie left forward on his own is not going to work long term.
We need to try Kemp forward and see how it unfolds. Just need another option before finals.

Just gutted we traded out setterfield for nothing. We could have really done with him last night.

I don’t have too much to say. Despite the margin I was never comfortable but also those cheating junkies can GGF.

H hardly does any of the ruckwork though. We give most of it to Crippa and Kennedy. Kennedy gave away a few frees against Goldy (He really is a player without a position at the moment). Thought H was good in the ruck contests in the F50.

Loved Charlie’s game last night. Didn’t get out marked and brought heaps to ground even when outnumbered in the marking contest.

Kennedy is the perfect sub - can play anywhere - would be my change for Cerra.

In Cerra, out Carroll, Kennedy to sub.

And what's up with that blokes lips, the top one never moves and the bottom one comes up like a muppet, looking all sour.

Good win!
The only disappointing part was allowing them to lock us in defence in the 3rd, we need to be able to work this out quicker and bring the walls down, then the foot.

TDK was huge, really on an upwards trajectory playing sole ruck.
Elijah was great, knew he would be but glad to see him stepping it up and showing the potential he has.
Cincotta, what a pick up and what a move by Voss to make him a tagger, great game.
Hewett was another player who stood up and had a good game.
Saad and Wieters were great and Cowan did a good job on Martin in the 4th.
Boyd, just keeps getting better.
Defence played well, especially in the 3rd with all the repeat entires.
Acres was disappointing, his kicking was woeful. 43% Disposal Efficiency.
The MVP voting buttons either need to be bigger or Ollie has to be moved away from his brother, surely no one really thought he deserved a vote and it was just mistaken voting.
He was non existent last night, worst game for us this year and he has had some pretty bad games.
Cottrell has to be in for Ollie after the bye if fit, the kid needs a break in the 2's to find some form.
Curnow did a lot of good stuff off the ball, but was a bit fumble and unlucky last night.
McKay v McKay was a bit of a fizzer.
Cripps and Walsh quiet but productive, good to see we can win without them dominating.
And as already said by others, Williams needs to stay forward.

Good to hand it to the cheats*, spewing our VFL team let it slip and we missed out on the double.

Not sure why I was nervous last night but I was. Knew we were better than Essendon* and we should win and we did comfortably like a better team should. But in the third standing up against the glass in the members dining room bar surrounded by particularly annoying Essendon* supporters - what is that about them - my Apple Watch sent me three separate heart rate warnings even though I wasn’t moving and it told me I wasnt moving. Who knew there was such a thing. Wins and losses have extra mayo against the scum

Might make an appointment to see my cardiologist before the finals

Given the contribution of the star players an excellent win
I’ve said it before
I’ll say it again
Recruiting teams need to cast their visionary net over all country and minor leagues particularly with The Devils coming into the comp and all the concessions their going to get
Cincotta would have gone unnoticed playing in the GFL unless he went to the reserves at Carlton
He is quick tough and wants it
Unlike many players who are hand picked at the draft every year

How does a guy like Nic Martin go unnoticed by nearly every club whilst playing for Subiaco
TDK and Martin were clearly the 2 best players last night

Boyd in the VFL as well
As for E Hollands
Excellent game
He lacks pace but is a smart footballer

With TDK if Carlton can bank some wins he will need a rest again sometime after the bye
The aim is to finish top 3
The Swans are almost a lock for top spot
You wouldn’t want to finish 4 th and have to travel to Steak and Kidney the first week of the finals

And one more on the TDK bandwagon. Unbelievable game. His leap, his athleticism, his follow up work on the ground, his burst speed and his genuine toughness and work rate. He is genuinely tough
