Sorry guys - I'm sure all that is fine and good and Austin will know our pick would end up at 30 (joking) but it doesn't answer the question. North finished 2nd last - StKilda and Adelaide both near the top 8 and the other played one final.
Why are their picks before Norths?

Just like you can’t question our club and their decisions you can’t question the afl.
The only difference is everyone knows the afl is corrupt but only some know our club is now a push over.

Because every player on a supporter's team list is prime Wayne Carey in their eyes (or one eye).

Yes.
Essendon* paying $700,000 per year triggered Band 2 compensation.

Free agency compensation comes before assistance package.

So the AFL just devalued our trade from equivalent pick 31 for Fisher to equivalent pick 33. Might not sound like a lot, but if we're trying to package up draft points to move our way up, it flowers us. Why free agency would still be going after the trade period has started is ridiculous.

This free agency and trade period is nothing short of a joke. Seriously just @#$%&! the compo bullshit off. Your advantage is you have a significant amount of money out of your own cap to chase someone else.

Hindsight is great, but definitely should have held off until the BS gifts were finished before trading for picks.

I wonder how soon before the scum “re negotiate” this contract to significantly less?

The Saints get the compo, not Essendon*.

Essendon* wouldn't do the Saints a favour and pay him more to get them compo.

Or am I missing something here?

Tend to agree with this. Or if there is going to be compo, exclude it from the first round. As someone suggested elsewhere

Ahhh SOS
Obviously been to Chemist Warehouse to get that fake tan.
The deal for Dow will be done
Let’s hope he doesn’t turn it on at Linton St
SOSs history with mids is shit so unlikely
And he did recruit Plowman twice
Even Cazz and Blue Vain and Carn The Blues would agree
A legend of the Blues who cracked the sads with the boys from Royal Parade then had the audacity to tip a bucketload of shit on the club interviewed by Tim “ I appear to be a good bloke but in reality I’m a prick of the highest order” Watson on a network run by the highest of grubs Craig Hutchinson.

Good luck to Dow
He has got better

Dow is committing suicide moving to StKilda. I cannot see how he’ll fit in to Lyon’s game plan.
This move will go down worse than Grindy’s trade to Melbourne. Silly boys.

Can't think of a single Carlton player that went to St kilda and got better.

Even hamill played his best footy with us I reckon.

Hamill’s final year with us had him being compared to Kouta in onfield impact. If he’d stayed on the park he could have been a great.

Carlton were Dow’s first preference, however we don’t want him, exact same scenario with Acres and Freo last year.

Sydney were also interested in Dow however he preferred to stay in Melbourne, which is why the Swans pounced on Adams when he became available…

Dow will do fine at the Saints, wracking up clearances, winning his own ball against any opposition.

He instantly makes their stodgy midfield a little quicker with his burst and younger…

Don’t worry Surrey we’ll get the ball back from Paddy when he plays us when he kicks it.

If you’re saying you’re not sure how he’ll fit in then how can he be worth what you think he is?

Personally I wish him the best and I think he has some good attributes but there are certain parts of his game I can’t overlook and in finals I suspect would have been exposed.

I suspect salary cap is a factor in Fisher trade — someone had to go to bring Hollands in and of our reasonable earners, he was probably the most expendable.

I hope Ben Crocker or Ned Cahill use it well from there.
