I'm happy the match committee will decide this. TC has no clue!

Do we have anything to worry about Weitering not going through the concussion protocols, ala Port?

Harry and Jack will help our f50 structures but we need to work on our ball movement
Port got a big fine earlier in the year. I don't think our situation was as extreme though

Voss said in his presser that McKay would play next week.

Yeah agree with this and make Kennedy sub.
Hollands a chance to come in with Marchbank, Fogarty and Cottrell on thin ice.
We will need more from our bottom 6 players to have a chance.

Surely the Match Committee will read TC before making their selection decisions :smoking:

Harry for Kennedy seems like a no brainer.

Who does Martin replace? Assuming no injuries/suspensions, it would seem to be a choice between Cunningham, Fogarty & Motlop. I know most will say Cunningham, but I would revert to our EF team and have Motlop as sub.

Marchbank will be fine, he was a bit fumbly last night but won or halved a lot of contests, and Brisbane have a lot of tall threats in attack. Cottrell doesn't even come into the discussion, one of our top 3 against Sydney and has an elite tank.

Hollands must be considered for a start because we're going to need a lot of run given that Brisbane at the Gabba is the hardest game in footy. But like others, I struggle to see who should be dropped for him. Kennedy and Cunners out for H and Martin I agree with, but I wouldn't drop Fog for Hollands because that leaves us short on the inside. Kennedy as sub makes a lot of sense.

For all his amazing courage, there's a chance Doc will be simply unable to move his arm today, so maybe that's how Hollands would get into the side. I have to admit, even though his first few minutes seemed to confirm our suspicion that he was completely wrong for the sub role, he ended up making some really important contributions. He's slight and not very fast, but he is quite some player.

It’s games like this where a vaccinated Beast or an inform Lewis Young would be nice, Hipwood and Daniher are big boys

i'm expecting inflammation for doc to the point even with needles he won't be able to pass a fitness test. huge loss bcos Doc is a coach out there, always telling guys where to be and what to do... leadership is such a vital commodity in finals.

hollands for Doc
harry for kennedy
martin for DC

DC - Sub

DC hasn't offered much of anything for a few weeks now, he shirked a couple of contests too, when he could have put his head over it. in saying that he's the perfect sub bcos he's versatile and can play all three lines. among tired legs his burst will be even better.

Did I hear correctly this will be a twilight match? Assuming so carlton can return home Saturday night. This sucks a bit as I don't think ill be able to make the game if its an earlier start.

Harry and Martin are must in’s.
SOS needs to be considered.
WoW.

Kennedy and Cuningham make way.

I would also be starting Hollands as both Doc and Acres are so battered.

JSOS as sub.

Better overall team. Hopefully.

Mind you, if anyone thinks we are going to beat brissie at the gabba, I will come for the ride.
I am not so optimistic .

Who are you dropping for Hollands?

Leave it to the MC.

Do I have to do all the work?

Well in that case let’s bring in Fisher, Dow and JSOS too

Twilight Saturday probably better than Fri night as we get an extra day to recover from the Dees match. Not so good if we make the granny however.

Is maximum run the answer? Or do we need an extra at the contest like Dow?

Not a fan of starting Hollands, he'll get rag dolled at the start, happy to have him as sub later in the game

Jon Ralph said last night that if GWS win tonight then the Prelim against Collingwood will be on the Saturday and our game will be Friday night.

Surely Kennedy doesn't get dropped. It's not his fault we kept bombing it long to Charlie and ignored his leads.

I feel like we can't play Mots and Owies in the same team. Both are prone to clangers and turnovers, it's far too costly. I know the stats from last night don't support me on this, but the eye test tells me we are much safer with the ball in Kennedy's hands.

Cunners and Owies out for me. Never thought I'd have said that said a couple of months ago, but on current form, they miss for Martin and H. This week we lost a key forward and medium forward for a medium and a small. Next week we do the opposite.

I'd love to find a spot for Hollands, I thought he was fantastic. I just don't know who to drop. Cotters has enough runs on the board to hold his spot. He was quietish last night, but by no means was he bad. Can't expect him to kick 2 sausage rolls every week.

Go Blues!
