Watched that one in a bar in HK. My wife was there for work at the time.
I remember one of her colleagues saying to me after the game, at least you didn't get thrashed.
I still get told off for my response.

I watched it at the Great Northern in North Carlton. Much to my annoyance there were actually quite a few West Coast supporters there :banghead:

It was a warm night if memory serves. Got home to an empty & boiling house, sat in the dark in my jocks reading TC & sulking, then my then wife came home with her friends from drinks, all asking me why I was looking so miserable

Just an awesome night all round

Its gunna be a hard slog on Friday night ... low scoring ... close game. We haven't had a draw in a final for a long time. They play extra time now.

Is this the one v Eagles?

I spent the entire game at shitful Subiaco Oval getting yelled at by knitting grannies (literally knitting) behind me for daring to stand up/cheer during the game.

They wanted us to sit there silent and were dead serious about it.

Thought we were going to win and we were robbed and i sat stunned/devastated and didnt leave the seat for about half an hour after the game.

Got a kebab in Subiaco and shat for 24 hours after it.

.... good times :?

2013 final against the Swans was the worst and last final we played. We owe them.
It's the game Malthouse gave Eddie Betts
the tagging role on McVeigh after half time.
McVeigh had 40 plus disposals.
Remember the game well was at Homebush invited to corporate box took my brother he got pissed and made an idiot of himself and when he was getting turfed out I denied even knowing him.

McBurney was one of the umpires I know this because for the whole game my pissed brother was yelling your an effing cheat Mcburney.

2011 final I was camping with friends, I watched most of the game at the nearby pub. I well remember trudging back to tell that we'd lost by three points. If memory serves Murphy missed a couple of easy shots, one just before half time, the other early in the third quarter. I really thought we weren't far away from a flag at that time.

Yeah that's right Cortez. Funnily enough it's not Marcus Davies or the umpire that irks me when I think of that game, it's the two misses by Murphy. Grrrr

I think we got out to a 28 point lead but just weren't able to get it out to the 40 point mark.

I've hated west coast ever since

By my count we have a squad of 31 to choose from. 30 if JSOS doesn't come up.This is quite amazing as usually at this time of year you are struggling to find a dozen that deserve selection. Of the 37 players used this year I think we can count out Young Cowan Carrol Obrien Plowman and Honey.
I have been on about our super 6 Cripps Walsh Weiters Saad Harry and Charlie who are the nucleus of the team. I want to add another Cerra to make it the sensational 7.
This means we have 24 players all competing for 16 spots.
We have come along way as any of those 8 players who miss could consider themselves unlucky. But in saying that if we are going to go deep into finals more will get there chance.

We have been longing for this and our best is as good as any.

Hi Missnaut,
The DM, PM doesn't seem to be working? (I've sent a few and they sit in the OUTBOX??)

How did you go with the spare tickets?

I'm sorted (my boys etc.. I'm OS) but have a friend who she and her son missed out.
Let me know, and sorry to be late an annoying.... Maybe DMing me works? Who knows

Cheers

(Mmmm i note bg72 was having a similar problem awhile ago)

I can't understand the betting odds on this game. We are clear favourites . Doesn't feel like it.

The odds don't reflect 20+ years of heartbreak do they?
