Excellent!
I had written the revelation that McG had re-signed only to later realise this had been revealed hours earlier.
I couldn’t see how to delete my post so edited it down to a single point, literally!
Most profound contribution I’ve made to TC :-)

There's a delete button on the bottom right of your own posts, conveniently real close to the report button so you can accidentally report yourself when trying to delete:) . The delete button disappears after some trigger like time and/or if someone quotes you

Bondi, if you're wondering why I accused you of bagging LOB, just look at the reserves vs. GCS thread for an example... I counted 3 posts calling him out, saying he couldn't make a pass, wasn't interested, couldn't defend, couldn't get the ball, let his opponent have his way, then said his contract should be bought out... and none of these posts were replies to a conversation, they were just you talking to yourself. Sorry, but I find that sort of relentless attack pretty annoying, and when you day things like "for those who think he is worth keeping..." it's pretty clear you're looking to carry on the fight with Sidefx et al. I know you'll say it's just vigorous debate, but understand that persistence can grate.

OK so it grates you, or, it could spike your interest in the LOB debate.

I called it as I saw it to inform not to grate; to share information for those without a screen who are interested.
I've been thanked for the effort before, so its a surprise to be criticised, but now I know you can't please all the people all the time.

I'd like to think my posts add value to the discussion; calling out what I saw. All we are seeing is stats of the past to support his tenure, or posters wanting Austin to honour the last year of LOBs contract, and frankly we need more recent analysis of LOBs game than that.

If you or anyone else is interested, or offended, you could to find the example I'm referring to by the time I posted to see for yourself, and then determine if I'm being offensive, bagging, or spot on.

My points are a reference point. That's all. Not a conversation.

My opinion that his contract is worth paying out was based on what I saw, in the form of pseudo time stamps, and you can prove me wrong, and the relevance of what I witnessed to the debate on who is in line to be let go from the rookie list? That's why I'm adding to the debate: same as Sidey is with his round 23 2022 game.

Two compulsory exits obviously have to be made and we have 2 uncontracted players; the uncontracted Ed and Sam Durdin. But Durdin as KPD depth is more valuable to the list than more depth for the wing, which LOB is.

However, if we need do delist Durdin and Ed, and we need to make another spot on the rookie spot to demote a player on the Primary list, then LOB looks the likely one whether you want to or not (its Austin's choice, and its a possibility) having witnessed his body of work in the game I made references to.

I am not going over a game to pick out what he does and doesn't do and time stamp it, so this method of calling what I saw at the time I was watching was the path of least resistance, and will suffice for those tragics who appreciate it. We are footy nuts, Carlton nuts and anything Carlton related only feeds our appetite for information: Food for thought.

I also make positive comments when I saw them too, but frankly there wasn't many with LOB who is a senior player playing reserves footy in a game we needed our seniors to stand up and help stem the bleeding. Bleeding that led to our reserves missing out on Finals. Do you have any other information on his performance, you would like to add, or disagree with? Why not? Anyone else? So the little information I give you, grates you because you choose to let do that to you.

I'm not offended by your view on my posts. Lucky for you there's no more VFL games for me to respond to. You're welcome.

I read W&P for the first time just before the pandemic. I wish he'd spent more time writing about trees, his prose is beautiful (even in translation). Instead the book devotes copious pages talking about a bunch of inbred aristocrats that I couldn't give a toss about. I was hoping such an epic novel would cover a broad cross section of pre-revolutionary Russian society but instead it's all about rich cauliflower flouncing about the battlefield and going to balls. Balls to that! Still a good book, but I won't read it again.

I'd always thought it was about the fall of TBV.

We say autumn in Australia but I think that was actually end of February so very late summer anyway...

Is this about me…?

kindest regards tommi

i can see Bondy back in the ancient days of
Greece…in the Agora there…up on a big flat stone…
a couple of books in hand wearing sandals…!

the people would gather…listen with intent
and the odd taunt from the back…”PREPI NA PEKSI
O SILVAGNI”…!
