Two months ago this place wanted to trade him to West Coast

It’s time to build a statue of him and Voss together the cup and goal umpire on the side !!

It’s been fantastic footy over the last two months, haven’t seen that for many many years. I just can’t really figure out what switch was turned on eight weeks ago. It’s almost like who stole Carlton and replaced them with a team that had four quarter commitment, played for each other and didn’t stuff up so much. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving it, but the contrast is staggering, nine or so weeks of mediocrity, then eight weeks of hard, find a way to win football. What happened? Whatever it was, kudos to the footy staff, the players and the club and let’s keep it up. Go Blues!

I know what happened, my future wife scheduled our wedding for the 30th September.

Thankfully the goal umpire called the Marchbank incident touched. Was always going to be hard to overturn his decision once called touched. The system working as it should. Plenty of fuss in the media about nothing.

Yep and no mention of fact that goal umpire was in perfect position. About a metre from the action, no players obstructing his view. He called it touch and there is nothing to indicate otherwise.

conveniently no mention it should have been a free to marchbank either.
Barret pushing his agenda again like the king maker that he is, wank

Yep and that as well. My kids were basking in the glory this morning watching the replay. Marchbank had his arms chipped on purpose. Should have been a free.

My brother just called me and said the same thing. He said Marchbank's right arm was clearly held.

Carlton are $6 to win Premiership. I put $10 on them at 100-1.

Out of those missing. Walsh, McKay and Cerra should be certainties.

Kennedy is not. And i would love SOS in for Pitto but i dont think thats a crucial one.

I feel sorry for the guys like Fisher, Dow, Fogarty, Hollands as those boys have been so good.

And i will say after being critical of Dow, i will be disappointed if he was dropped or made sub for Walsh or Cerra when they are back.

He deserves to be in. He lacked belief due to being in and out of the side. And he is showing what he is capable of now when being given a chance.

And i will also say we should be keeping him. Another team will be licking their lips if we give him away for free. And it will be bad management to do so.

How about Gov?

Vital in my opinion

The transformation of this group remind me of when Jezza took over in 1978. We went from being a side that was suspect under pressure to a team that thrived on pressure. The end result was 3 premierships in 4 years (should have been 4 in a row).

Exactly.

Only issue with 1978, we coughed up the last game against St Kilda at Moorabbin and cost us the double chance.

I think he is referring to ' 80 . Percy and Jewell punching on with Shane "O" between 'em . Pity Percy never landed one .

I just don't understand why the AFL doesn't have super slow mo footage (like in the cricket) on the goal lines.
Billion dollar industry relying on $30 webcam for goal reviews.
The Ocean gate of sporting bodies.

Speaking of Jezza, I wish our Club could stop the medya from referring to Jeremy Cameron as ‘Jezza’ :banghead:

I’m getting a 2016 Bulldogs feel about our trajectory. Momentum is everything. Building and peaking at the right time is everything. Bulldogs weren’t the best side of that year. They finished in the bottom half of the 8 but they peaked late and just built progressively through the end of the year and into finals and they swept all before them. And others sides have dropped off and all are beatable.
Dare to dream. We couldn’t could we? Probably not but what a ride over recent weeks
Put $100 on Blues at $10 for the flag after the Pies game.

What about that 60 metre hook bullet from Charlie to a running Owies in the goal square in the third
And that lace out visionary pass from Ollie Hollands to a leading Jack Martin for a goal in the second. Just brilliant
